    Birthday Party.

Beautiful park. Pavilion area looks well taken care of . Bathrooms were clean. Grass cut . Trash cans were empty and clean. We had a Birthday Party for Granddaughter and it couldn't of gone better . Great weather .

One of favorite places to relax and watch the waves. The view of Lake Michigan is tremendous. It is very calming to sit on top of the bluff and watch the waves roll in. It is an easy bike ride from my house n Whitefish Bay. It is amazing how close such a quiet spot is to Milwaukee.

We made a quick stop at Virmond Park on our way back down to Chicago. We were able to take a short walk on a path with beautiful views overlooking Lake Michigan. There was a playground for kids, picnic areas for hosting gatherings, and a baseball diamond for playing. It was a great spot to stretch our legs with great views. Don't be fooled by the map though! You will be on cliffs high above the shore. You won't be walking on the beach at this park, but it was still beautiful.

For the fellow park goer-this is a neat park to venture to if you are not a fan of big, crowded beaches. The views are nice with ample picnic tables and benches at each view point. The trails are lush and bedded in mulch. Some pebbles or pavement would be appreciated-got some sticks from the mulch in my sandals quite frequently (not a big deterrent though). I didn't have enough time to explore the entire park but I also noted an active parking lot at 5pm, people of all ages coming and going, some sort of lagoon, and of course, the lake. Also some grassy paths. Would return and recommend.

There was basically no signage outside so we just followed the GPS into what looked like private property and through the gates. Inside there was a parking lot and in the short distance a house. We entered the house and really didn't gather any information there. The guy working kinda just wanted to be on his computer. No gift shop, it was kind of bleak. I think they could do more here to promote the place and make money (I assume money couldn't hurt!) There are no walking paths, just grass. You are left to wander aimlessly as you choose through the property so we did. Lots of space between the sculptures so if walking is an issue, this place is not for you. My 13 year old really enjoyed the pond and wildlife. We saw a lot of frogs and a few turtles. I have to say, it's very pretty. But I do wish I had some more information to take home with me about the garden.

The turn in to the garden is tough with high speed traffic behind you, but there is ample parking. The staff inside the welcome center was friendly and there are clean bathrooms inside. It's a little tricky to find the entrance if it's your first visit. Ps - it's towards the back facing the garden. Looking forward to going back!
