This salon was amazing, kind, friendly, and make our wedding dreams come true! I felt nervous to get my makeup and hair done, as I am a simple DIY, no makeup girlie in my regular life. So many brides look like a different person on their wedding day, and I wanted to look like myself. My hair stylist and makeup artist was Luchi and she did such an amazing job. My makeup has never looked better. My hair also looked perfect all day/night. I could not be happier and definitely recommend this salon for any of your styling needs!

I've been getting highlights every 3 months for years and have never had anyone so clueless and make me look so bad. My hair turned orange and I refused to pay. He was also very unfriendly and still made me pay. I have another appointment at Dtox this week to fix what they did to me.

I recently made an appointment to get my haircut at Dtox while visiting Barcelona for a friend's…read morewedding. I specifically chose this salon because of all the other reviews mentioning that the staff spoke English. On the day of my appointment I called to confirm and the person who answered the phone didn't speak English and was incredibly unhelpful. I kept trying to tell him my name and the time of my appointment and he kept responding that no, I didn't have appointment. After about 30 seconds, he hung up on me. I tried calling back several times but he must have taken the phone off the hook because the line was busy. At this point, I was desperate - my hair was a mess and it was a few hours to the wedding. I took a taxi over to the salon and buzzed several times to be let in. The same guy (I assume the same person who answered the phone) didn't want to let me up. I finally got into the building and made it up the salon. When I answered the door I showed him the email confirming my appointment to which he said that the stylist hadn't come in that day, I believe because she was either sick or had to go out of town (the whole conversation was him talking in Spanish and me responding in English). It was already noon and I saw when I made the appointment online that she had other people booked before me, so it wasn't like I was showing up as the first customer of the day. So despite having my contact info AND the fact that I called to confirm no one ever bothered to tell me she wasn't coming in. Plus it was like they were trying to hide because they screwed up - hanging up on me and then not letting me into the building. The whole thing was a nightmare with the worst possible timing and made me almost miss the wedding. Regardless of the language barrier it was the definition of bad customer service.

Making an appointment online was super easy and received an e-mail confirmation. Showed up day of and made my way upstairs to the salon. It was clean and intimate, everyone there was really chill and the clients all seemed to know and love their regular stylists. My stylist was Carolina. I showed her pictures and described what I wanted but ultimately just trusted her to do what she thought would look best with my face shape. She worked with such precision and in the end gave me exactly what I wanted. I couldn't be happier. Plus it was way cheaper then anything I would have paid in a West Loop Salon in Chicago. Super pleased with my entire experience!

This hair salon is just around the corner from Flamant Restaurant and so it was convenient for us to check it out (because we ate at Flamant a couple of times while we were in Barcelona). These are the things that resulted in us going there: location (walking distance from our hotel .... the MurMuri); languages spoken (a sign in the window says they speak several languages, including English) ; willingness to use my wife's hair color and developer(she always carries some with her on trips ); price (the advertised price for color in the window was about 25 euros) ; hours . I made the appointment in person when I stopped in there on a Friday; the appointment was for 2 p.m. on the following Monday. It was pouring rain, we got there at 1:45 p.m. and the place was already open. The stylist did an excellent, attentive job . He was very professional and my wife's hair came out great. We would return there for similar or other services without a second thought. We were the only customers there the entire time.
