5 stars - Dr. Sabet was my Sabet when I lived in the area 12 years ago, I moved back to the DC area…read moreand drive an hour now to see her as she is the most caring, intelligent, thoughtful doctor and her staff also understand medical systems/insurance which supports and manages care.

I have been seeing Dr. Sabet since 2016. Not only is she the best neurologist I've ever had, she's…read morethe best doctor I've ever had - and I've had plenty! All my previous neurologists specialized in other areas and basically just did - what they could - for my migraines which was me trying to figure out what to do, suggesting it, them doing it, and going from there. Dr. Sabet was the first neuro to actually take my migraines seriously and try to figure out how to stop them rather than having me just get through them. Are they gone? No...but I'm back to fully functioning b/c of the efforts she has put into my care. And my body hasn't made that easy - finding meds that work only to have my body reject them later. Dr. Sabet has actually spoiled me by setting what is apparently an impossible bar to meet. I've recently been diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder and finding all the necessary specialists has been tough because only my primary care provider comes close to the attention to detail, professionalism, and true concern for my care that Dr. Sabet provides every single time I see her. As for her staff, I've never had a single problem with any of them. They have always been friendly, courteous, and professional. I cannot complain. I'll close with this, I trust and respect Dr. Sabet so much, that even though I have moved out of the immediate DC area, I still drive over two hours one way to see her for each visit necessary and will continue to do so until I physically just can't. She is that good!

I had an ER visit followed by a 6-day hospital stay in 2023. The care was outstanding and I was…read morevery impressed (and healed!). Subsequently, both my wife and I have been going to the VHC out-patient pavilion for primary care and cardiology and have been impressed with the patient care and customer service. Our only complaint is with the business office. Our insurance coverage has changed twice during that period and attempts to update the policies online (both on website patient portals and VHC app) proved fruitless. We received bills with substantial balances because the old insurance was billed and rejected. We tried to send emails to the business office asking them to resubmit the bill to the new policy but nothing happened. No one responded and the bills remained outstanding. Eventually we called the business office and resolved the issue within minutes. It is very frustrating trying to fix billing issues and update insurance online when whatever is done seems to disappear into a black hole. It seems the only way to successfully interact with the business office is by telephone.

Came to the ER here very unexpectedly while in the area. I'm not from Virginia and had no idea what…read moreto expect. Cons: no live wait time on website, registration staff who truly DGAF, dirty waiting area Wait time: 2.3 hours just to get into an exam room (I was balled up in a corner in pain and begged for a blanket because it was cold inside and 50 degrees outside. They triaged me, took blood and urine and had me remain in the waiting room. Once I actually got into an exam room, things started to move more quickly. Care: Dr. Sidara was actually the saving grace here. He was incredibly nice and thorough, spoke to me with respect and care, and worked to address my issues as soon as possible. He was even able to pull info from past doctors visits, which included a slight ear infection and double checked my ears while I was there to make sure he didn't miss anything further. I won't go into all of the details of what he discovered, but had he not caught one thing in particular, I might still be in excruciating pain. What I didn't like is the fact that I was in an exam room for maybe 30 minutes, then they took me to get a CT. And once I finished the CT, I was not taken back to the exam room, but taken to the "results waiting" room. There, my IV hung in front of me, without being connected, for about an hour. When all of my results were back, the doctor returned to me and told me all the findings and the plan moving forward. I do wish they would have kept me overnight so that I could continue to be monitored and receive pain management medication, but I understand that's not necessarily typical treatment for what I was experiencing. Shortly after the doctor checked in with me, my discharge papers were drafted, and I was on my way out. I was there from 3:50-9 p.m. ish.

My husband and I met Dr. Potolicchio almost 15 years ago, after having seizures for 38 years. After extensive testing, I had my brain surgery. I have been seizures free for over 14 years. He changed my life.

Being a good doctor is a collaborative affair between him and his practice. Doctor Potollicio has…read moreover forty years of experience. I knew him in the mid point of his career when he saw my wife for a seizure disorder. He outright cured her through dogged determination. She was referred to him when he was at Georgetown University Hospital after many other failed attempts at diagnosis. The difference was the collaborative approach between he and the hospital where he served both as a teaching professor and neurological specialist. He was a top doctor then at the top of his form. The hospital did not rush him and he took advantage to serve his patients based on need. He went on to transfer to George Washington Hospital. Though his tenure was exemplary there he suffered from the rigours of the timeclock manner of appointments. After he left GW I understand he has set up his own practice. I trust that he has the same deliberative, thoughtful and insightful approach that I saw in him years ago. ....CEB
