I went here at least once a month when I lived in Nijmegen and will definitely go back when I am visiting Nijmegen for Christmas. Expect basic, but tasty and original dishes made with the finest local ingredients. Not the regular boring menu, but exiting dishes. Ask for advice on the wine, they have many, very good wines.

Plus, very unfortunate, the enterprising owner talked us in a special something with a surprising hefty price tag. Mistake! The allegedly fresh Burger was definitely of the breed 'deep-frozen' and roasted to die a second death. Then, this awkwardness of meat, which once died of thirst, was so ridiculously dry, that even the helpless combination of mayonnaise and catchup in which one has tried to drown it, could not help. It was another poor example of how not to do burgers. Again impertinently priced! The pattern in this area appears to be a correlation between incompetence and the price.... or maybe ignorance...? Please get help guys! If you ask people to pay this kind of money for food you prepare, at least have some decency and do your homework.

American food is what you will find here so I wanted to get a burger and see how it compares to the others I have had here in Cologne. With purchase of a burger you get fries and "salad". The fries are alright kinda small with no so many of them. They did have good kinds of ketchup like pepper ketchup and jalapeño ketchup. Also good hot sauces like chipotle, jalapeño and habanero. The salad is literally a piece of lettuce, a tomato, onion and two pickles but they are for your burgers not a real salad. You also get 4 pieces of bread with a good garlic sauce and like 10 olives which was nice. I ordered the Country Burger which is a basic burger with bacon, Canadian bacon and a sunny side up egg. I thought this sounded really good but also the other burger choices were a little boring typical American burgers. The Country Burger was good but quite greasy. The Canadian bacon was no good at all so I didn't eat it. But the burger had good taste but it was missing something. All that for 11.50€

The barbeque sauce saved the dish, but for people who do not like the said sauce -- do NOT order this & this is not for you. My husband ordered a burger for himself, but he was left disappointed. The portion is okey but there is nothing special about the taste. Sadly, he felt he can do a better burger at home. For their pricey menu, we expected more. The service was just okey until we wanted to pay the bill. The waitress totally forgot us! As we waited, we recognize the family table sitting next to us already finish their meal when one of the order finally arrived (it was a burger). The family by this time refuse it. Sorry, but for someone just visiting the city, we do not see ourselves coming back to this restaurant in the near future.
