Also known as "Isola di Francisco" based on the Welome sign, or Pungtud Island. But, my nephew said this island is better known to locals as "Virgin Island."
This private island was the second stop on our island hopping excursion from Alona Beach, Panglao, Bohol. We had to pay an environmental fee of 100 pesos each before we could disembark. It is often visited due to its sandbars, but there's also a bronze statue of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina Capuccino and an extended area to view for an additional "donation." Unfortunately I ran out of pesos, so I didn't get to visit that area.
Nevertheless, we enjoyed our time on the sandbar. The weather was beautiful and walking on the sandbar was very cool. We were standing in the middle of the ocean!
