Let me start by saying that Marx Entertainment provided both DJ services and Photo Booth services…read morefor our wedding. We were very unhappy with the DJ but happy with the Photo Booth set up and staff. My husband and I had DJ Craig for our wedding in September 2023. We had two meetings with him beforehand were we discussed how we would like the night to run. In addition to a list of "must-play" songs (something we were encouraged to complete), we discussed how we would like our table-dash, anniversary dance, alumni photo, and private dance to operate. We also noted on multiple occasions during both calls that we DID NOT want a lot of remixes. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with how DJ Craig managed all of these aspects except for the table dash and private dance. Here is where our issues lie: - Out of our 30 or so must play songs maybe half were played. - As laid out on the Marx Entertainment website we chose a "last song" for the dance floor. DJ Craig played the song we designated as our last song as a way to open the dance floor. - The first 30 minutes were exclusively remixes and bad ones at that. It got to the point where we said something to DJ Craig, and while the music did get better, he still continued to play remixes. Honestly, a Spotify playlist would have been better. - The anniversary dance was something DJ Craig suggested and we loved the idea. However, instead of doing what he had described to us where he starts calling people off the dance floor after some dancing and starting with short time increments, DJ Craig called for anyone married for less than 5 years to leave the dance floor after approximately 20 seconds. People hadn't even REACHED the dance floor to start dancing at that point, including the parents of the groom. Not to mention we are a young couple and that kicked more than half of the people off the dance floor in one sweep. - College alumni photo was announced at a very weird time and very rushed. Just felt awkward - We were immediately asked once the lights turned on to provide a positive video review for DJ Craig. This was extremely uncomfortable and we gave dishonest feedback during it. We would NOT recommend him. Like I said previously, the Photo Booth staff was excellent and we loved the book they made us. We also had no issues with booking or prior communication with Marx. While the set up and logistical execution of the event went well we didn't feel our opinions were considered at all in song selection and that the fun mini-events we had throughout the night went poorly

Was told when this booked that the bouncy house would be picked up the next day which was a Sunday , perfect because I don't want that behemoth sitting on my lawn for longer than 24 hours ! So when I didn't hear from them on Sunday I called and they told me it would be first thing Monday....ok ...not really acceptable but I understand. Now they are 2.5 miles away so when I called at 9:00 am Monday and the owner said they are on the way I say great . I did a couple of errands and came home around 10:15 to find their equipment still on my lawn . I called back and talked to the same "rude " so called 40 year in business owner to ask why it wasn't picked up yet and he went off on a tangent about this being the busiest weekend and 200 other customers and no help , and then went on and asked me if I was one of "those guys " who sat around and watched my lawn all day ! WTF ? Who does this guy think he is ? So .....I had to do a face to face with this arrogant so called business owner . Sure enough....just what I thought....jumped up in my face and proceeded to tell me I'ma "Kenny" .....ya know a male "Karen"....not once but at least five times ! He is a lucky man.... I would not recommend doing business with this man unless you get a written contract for drop off and pick up times . Very unprofessional.

Personally I would work on customer service skills with whoever takes the phone calls. I had called…read moreand booked a bouncy house mid may for may 21st. While on the phone when booking we confirmed it was may 21st numerous times and at the end of the call the man even said " see you May 21st" I was never told to go check an email that was sent to me to confirm the info was entered correctly on your end. I figured seeing I was spending close to 400 dollars for a bouncy house for one day, that I was all set. It wasn't until the night before that I noticed I never got a confirmation email or call like I was told I would. That's what prompted me to get look for an email sent when booking and noticed it was scheduled for June 4th. So I called first thing in the morning to get this solved assuming the person that took my call accidentally entered that date wrong. The lady that answered was rude and took no accountability for anything. She sat there and pointed fingers at everyone else BUT the company's error. Repeating " how did you not catch this sooner" " this is why you should have checked the email." Listen I got that email WHILE on the phone booking, as the man I spoke to repeated multiple Times it was for may 21st and even repeated to say " see you may 21st" at the end of the call. Whether who thinks who is wrong in this situation, as a business I would have personally answered that phone and said " sorry about this confusion, let's see what we can do to fix it" instead of this lady sitting there question the customer (myself) on how WE didn't catch this error sooner. If someone is spending 350+ on my business I would just try and make it right. We have rented from you guys for quite a few years so it was extremely disappointed to be treated like garbage. The fact that then the woman said we would received the bouncy house after the party would have started? and then when they received a call from another family member of mine because I was extremely overwhelmed with how you were handling the situation, you continued to give them a hard time and when they got upset you proceeded to say you guys did not want to deliver to us anymore. Extremely unprofessional. This all could have been avoided with some better costumer service from the beginning. And we still have yet to receive an apology for this.
