Come hungry, leave happy. Correction... come very hungry, leave very happy, and sleepy. You'll instantly fall in love with the eclectic decor and vibe that they've built here. Nooks and crannies make you feel like you're eating in your best friend's dining room deep in Mexico. The open kitchen allows you to smell your future and the confusing menu will make your ask a lot of questions, but it's all part of the charm. Order a few cheap bottles of wine and enjoy this adventure.
Most of us opted for the beef and I suggest doing your calculations a little more accurately than we did and don't overestimate your hunger as the portions are huge. Massive lumps of beef weigh down the table and every bite seems to be followed by a chorus of "oooohs and ahhhhhs." It's safe to say that we all were thoroughly impressed by the quality, the price, and the portion size.
Cortázar Cocina de Autor has not seen the last of me and next time I'm coming in hugry... like a bear.
