I have never walked out of a nail salon crying. It happened yesterday. I paid $196 for this service when he got to the end I said wait you are going to make these tapered and clean up the acrylic? He said I'm sick of you. I've wasted enough of my time here. You can wait for someone else to finish. (we had been there FIVE hours & I ended up waiting another 40 minutes to get someone to "finish" them) This is my normal stress reliever/ mommy daughter date for me and my girls. I've never been treated so badly in my life. And the nails speak for themselves. It was HORRIBLE. I will never again. The owner is the one who spoke to me this way. And now I'm stuck with what looks like a kindergartener did my acrylic because he filed them so thin they hurt so bad I can't even file them. You can clearly see every finger is bright red on the tip. Highly do not recommend. read more

I don't recommend going to this nail salon at all! The leg scrub & message felt great but that is the only nice experience about this place. My pedicure looks horrible! They didn't even take off the excess polish. I was trying to get a full set of gel nails done and three people (especially the man) started yelling at me saying that I was asking for a manicure. I've been having my nails done long enough to know that you don't ask for a manicure if you are wanting gel or acrylic nails. This is the rudest, worst pedicure place that I have ever been to!!! read more

I am completely underwhelmed by the service here. I took my daughters for gel pedicures and aside from feeling rushed, the man who worked on my daughters was rough and one of my daughters had part of her big toe with an area that didn't get painted. When he filled it in, it looks bumpy. As for my pedicure, they didn't do a great job on filing away dead skin, and They left so much dead skin that I have to go home and use a pumice stone to smooth it out. Be forewarned: they will change prices on you... tell you one price, purposely confuse you, then you go to check out and they tell you a completely higher price bc of xyz! Ladies that work there are rude. Lady that does pedicures forcefully jerks your feet around like she's pissed off. I'm sure they're constantly talking bad about customers. LONGGGGG wait times but they won't tell you that! Waited at nail chair 35 mins before lady came over. Rough treatment with dremel. Finished easy basic plain shirt gel polish then sent me to sit in pedicure chair for 45 mins before lady came to work on me! Rude ppl and a rip off. I will only give this place Two Stars because every time I have had a pedicure here it was fine besides the constant asking of where I got my acrylics done. Along with the constant "we do better". So the other day my regular salon was packed crazy busy and I was on a time crunch so I came here and asked for coffin nails with just gel polish. What I got was more of a rounded square and my thumbs look like the leaning tower of Pisa. Not even a week after getting this full set the nail on my ring finger broke off so this past Monday I went back and paid for a fill and changed the color and the next day it was so thin it broke when I was putting my hair in a ponytail. I had noticed it was too thin after I drove 30 mins back home because it started to bend on me and I could feel it. I'm going in tomorrow morning and hopefully getting it fixed. read more

this place is very rude. the lady doing my nails claimed that my nails were "too fat" for her to do them like the picture i showed her. i made an appointment and came in on time. i waited for 2 1/2 hours before anyone started doing my nails. and another customer came in after me and got started before me. not to mention, my thumb nail got super infected and green. read more

they where really rude ! they did not listen to what I wanted ! they gave all my nails wrong length and when I told them I did not like them and tried to walk out they told me I would have to still pay 30 for them when all she did was put acrylic. and i told them I did not like them and they did nothing else but add the gel . never going back and this is not the first time either ! read more

Stopped in today as a walk-in (it's been about 3 weeks since my last nail visit). First time at this salon as I was away from home. Nicely located in a strip mall, with lots of parking. The establishment has powder dip (and A LOT of colors) which is what I get done. Both technicians worked on my hands which was very nice. Things were so clean and sanitized. The files were kept in disinfectant solution, the technicians took their time, and it was very inviting. Even though I didn't get a pedicure, the chairs/tubs were in a relaxing environment in the back of the salon. My nails came out exactly how I wanted them. Will I return to this salon when I'm in Kokomo next? RESOUNDING YES!!!!!! read more

Very rude!! Past couple times I have came to this place from open to close they either say they are booked or they're already closed. Today I just walked in trying to see if they would accept my service once again and it's the same thing every time. Open sign is on but said they're closed but let other customers come in with no problem. Never seen no business run like this. Since it has been about 2 years since my last visit, I decided to try this salon again. I went in on a Friday and they were not busy. I just needed a polish change on my toes and I was seated immediately. The nail tech that helped me was not at all friendly, which I don't really mind, but as she was removing my old polish, she asked where I had gotten my toenails done previously. I asked her why she was asking, because she was obviously annoyed, she mumbled something and I did not answer. She proceeded to finish my service but was noticeably annoyed. I wish I could give this place negative stars. I came in today for a simple polish change. I had my sisters wedding the night before and I'm in the military so I can't have colored nails. Anyway I come in and tell them I want a polish change and an gel ombré. She tells me they can't do it in gel and it's only dipping powder but she said it's gonna be $45. That's the same price that it cost me to get a full set and a pedicure. So I just said I want a gel white French tip. Simple enough. So a lady comes up to me and tells me my nails look yellow and that I've had them for awhile so they need to be redone. I GOT THEM DONE THE DAY BEFORE. Not to mention at a salon that has a higher rating but unfortunately was closed on Sundays. So I'm already extremely offended and then I tell her no. I just got them done. They are exactly how I want them. I just need a polish change because of work. So I wait about 10-15 minutes. They have one of their children say number 3. Number 3. I walked to that station and sat down. Another 10 minutes went by everyone had customers. This guy comes over and starts taking the polish off. HE STILL HAS A CUSTOMER. He just leaves his customer sitting there waiting. So he keeps bouncing between the both of us until he finishes her nails. He comes over and starts reshaping my nails. Everytime he finished with one hand he'd push it back pretty hard. I was like I just got them done. They are how I want them. He said they are crooked. I was like okay whatever (they looked completely fine and exactly how I want them). So he continues what he's doing starts putting the base on my nails and I noticed a black spot on my nail. I mentioned it and he started just scratching at my nail. And saying it's not me. Another lady who was doing another girls nails started asking where did you get them done. Over and over. I said that doesn't matter. And she wouldn't stop badgering me. I finally said please take the base off. I'm leaving. I said it twice because they both were trying to argue with me. The lady then said it's $10. I told her I'm not paying $10 for anything. I didn't ask for him to reshape my nails. I said they were fine. He didn't do anything worth $10. He said it's fine. Continually trying to make his point about my nails. I got up and he said don't come back. I then said. Don't worry I won't and neither will my mother. We will be contacting the BBB as well. Please avoid this place at all costs. I've never had as bad of an experience at any salon and I've never been treated so poorly. The prices here are fair. I've had a gel manicure and a champagne rose pedicure. Both were exactly what I wanted and needed. My husband had the basic pedicure and was also satisfied with his service. Friendly staff, very professional, clean nail salon. I will definitely come back. read more

The prices were usual, but the service and quality not so good. The man that did my nails wouldn't do what I requested and he would stop in the middle of doing my nails to get on his phone. I got acrylics with a gel polish and the clear coat "matted" within a few days, and the gel polish started chipping within a week. Came here with a friend for manicures, had an appointment for 10 and didn't even get my nails started on until 11. Super nice and friendly, however expensive, $30 for the manicure, with gel which is suppose to stay on for two weeks but peeled off after 24 hours!! read more

This is my second time visiting VIP in Kokomo, Indiana. Both times I have been extremely happy. First, customer service is high on my list. I was greeted by everyone with a smile and good morning. Even the owner came up and greeted me personally. He actually made a point to say good morning to everyone. Second, it is so clean. One girl was not busy so instead of just standing she was cleaning and not just wiping down the counter i mean deep cleaning all the Chandliers even. Dusting under things instead of around them. Third, I waited no more than 5 mins to get a pedi. I got the coffee capicinno and they even went passed the time it says 35 mins. It was probably more like 45 mins total. Fourth, The prices are excellent. I was even offered something to drink I chose water and it came in a wine glass with lemon and ice. Fifth, I was in on June 1 and my polish was still on July 3 when I returned before going on vacation to the beach. No chipping. My toenails just grew out lol. I highly recommend this place for all the reasons above. They know how to take care of their customers. read more
