If I could give negative 5 stars, I would.
Never have I been treated with such disrespect and entitled attitude by any airport-related employee on all my years of travel (this even includes Spirit and Ryan Air employees.. That's low) as the young "lovely" lady behind the desk this morning.
I am Sky Priority with Delta so normally on international flights I get access to lounges. It clearly lists Sky Team on the outside of the lounge as one of the partners. When I tried to check in this morning to grab a quick coffee and jump on a conference call in a quieter space, she had SUCH attitude and said that "Again (again??), your ticket is not good, none of Delta Sky priority statuses qualify for this lounge and your gate is past security on the other side anyways so why would you even try to come in here? You're not welcome.. So don't come back." Not sure if she was confusing me with some other traveler, but regardless, it's not ok. I understand trying to keep the rif raf out and if they don't partner with Delta Sky, fine, but explain that in a courteous manner, not with hostility and like I was a little kid trying to go inside some exclusive adult-only club.
I work in luxury brand marketing and the number one difference between the luxury and the rest are customers' perceptions and the way these brands treat their customers. If you're going to pretend you're a luxury airport lounge, you must teach your employees basic customer service ASAP.. Or fire them (as I would, if my employee had that sort of attitude towards customers).
You can keep your stale croissants lady.. The friendly service just down the escalator at Dehesa Santa Maria is much worthy of my time and money. read more
