Decent lounge option in Barcelona. It's a bit hard to find, but if you Google instructions and…read morefollow them it's not too bad (follow the signs for "Joan Miro VIP" and it's after passport control. The lounge is pretty large and kind of divided into two areas. During less busy times they'll only have food in the one area, but when it's busier they'll have both sides open. The food is all serve yourself, and they have a good selection of offerings (both American and European). They also have self-serve wine and beer, and (if I recall correctly) liquor as well. The last time I was there (last week) they had robots moving some trays, empty plates around, etc. It was kind of fun to see (and also a little creepy), but the kids in the lounge got a kick out of them. I've never really interacted with staff, so I can't comment much on that. I appreciate there are lots of different seating options-low tables, high-tops for two, lounge chairs, etc. The lounge is 'open air' to the terminal below, so it doesn't really have great views (unless you count neon shopping signs, lol). There is a tiny view of some planes, but not the great tarmac view I've seen from some other lounges. My one complaint is that it's so darn warm in that lounge! Even when it's not full. The entire airport is like that so I guess since it's open air the to terminal that's what you get. Also beware, the line to get into the lounge can be long (I saw this as I was leaving the lounge last week). Tip: there are definitely still duty free stores and some other shopping outside the lounge, so you don't have to do all of it before entering the lounge.

This lounge was pretty crowded and dirty. The tables were not clean and there were used dishes, and…read morecups left all over the place. Clean dishes actually ran out and people were having to hold on to some of their food with their hands, and some were reusing their plates. The restrooms were also dirty and the staff was not friendly. I asked one staff member a queyregarding the bathroom, and he just shook is head instead of answering me. It felt like he really didn't want to be at work that day. Also, the food selection was not good. There were a lot of Indian dishes, and really nothing else. I think it would have been better if they had different options. At least they had a diverse selection of drinks.
