The waiter forgot we ordered an appetizer and, instead of simply apologizing, very aggressively told us we never ordered it. Two of us ordered the tuna that was supposed to be just seared on the outside and instead was completely dry as if it had been prepared before and reheated (both of us felt sick during the night. For a toddler we ordered a portion of simple pasta with tomato sauce and we were charged 23 euros. First of all, location: You couldn't be more central than that. Spinella is right in the middle of Via Etnea, the main street, facing Villa Bellini which is the most famous park/garden in Catania. They have tables outside and it's the perfect spot to sit, relax and do some people-watching. The food is excellent too. This place is famous for serving the best Arancini and Cannoli and I have to agree. I literally go there any time I am in Catania. They serve a lot of different pastries and savoury specialities (such arancini, cartocciate, cipollina). Prices are REALLY good as well, you can have lunch there for less than 10€, and staff is friendly and quick. Love this place. Been a customer for years and will keep going back. Bonus: There's also free WiFi which can be handy :)
