It's roughly three doors down from Arts Market, on the northeast corner of Glebemount and Danforth avenues. The plants were so pretty. The prices were extremely reasonable. I had to go into the store to check it out. The woman at the store was friendly. She said hi. She let me know that if I wanted to see the fresh-cut bouquets, I could go inside the room that was separate from the main store area. Cool! I was impressed by the variety of orchids that this store had. The blue orchids were exceptionally gorgeous. All orchids were healthy and nicely maintained. A mom-son duo walked in. They were getting a flower arrangement for the son's graduation. They were thoughtful about the flower colours that they wanted. I found a baby rubber plant that looked so naturally shiny and beautiful. It was $5. It was plant love at first sight. I had to get it. The woman came over. I asked if she accepted credit cards. She did, but the transaction charge was ridiculous that she preferred a debit card or cash. I let her know that I was parked across the street and could fetch my debit card. She was good with it. It's rare that I was parked so close to where I wanted to be. I put my order from the Arts Market in my car, grabbed my debit card, and headed back to the store. She was talking to the mom-son duo. I politely said sorry as the owner immediately came over to me to we could get the transaction done. Customer service is impeccable. She managed to deal with me and the duo simultaneously, making us both feel that our business was important to her. I tapped and my transaction was complete. She asked me if I wanted a bag. I said yes, as you never know what will happen if I have to make a turn in my car and soil goes flying everywhere. I got a bag to protect my plant. I thanked her and happily carried my new plant to my car before I headed home. I had to repot my new plant, as the roots were screaming for more space. Luckily, I had the perfect larger planter for it. It is a lovely addition to my ever-expanding plant collection. It's a lovely store. I'd definitely return when I'm in the area and see what my next plant will be. (220)

They set the expectation that the flowers would not be delivered same day, and it was totally understandable as it was the day before Christmas. It was so nice of them to tell me ASAP and gave me a realistic update, and made sure that they would be delivered on Dec 27th. On Dec 26th, I found out that my co worker has already gone home from the hospital and I needed to update the delivery address, so I emailed & left them a voicemail. Even though the shop was closed for the holidays, I still received an email confirmation about an hour later and I was rest assured that address would be updated. Followed up another month later after no response, and she had found the flower. I was pleased with that, despite the wait. It was difficult to get in touch leading up to the wedding, as it seemed like only Linda knew what was going on, not the staff. The staff could never assist me. The day of my wedding, all of the corsages fell apart almost instantly- out of 4 corsages, literally NONE made it 5 minutes. At the reception, I also realized she never included my throwaway bouquet and I had to make one by taking my centrepieces apart. I told the staff this and they promised Linda would call me back and make it right, but she never did. I paid for corsages and a throwaway bouquet and I didn't really get either. The flowers were beautiful but I didn't get what I paid for. I'm very upset about this.

Several days prior to Mother's Day, I placed an order on Freshland's website for a bouquet ($88 after fees). Since I was opting for pick-up instead of delivery, I selected the payment method of "in-store". A couple of days later, I received a call from an employee asking for my credit card information so that they could process the payment before making my order. This call was unexpected, and I asked if there was another way I could pay because I wasn't comfortable reading anything off over the phone. They allowed me to send an e-transfer instead, which was an OK alternative. While I can understand that processes have changed under COVID guidelines, having an "in-store" payment option online with no indication that we will be called and asked for card information is a bit of an unpleasant shock. 2. Yesterday, I picked up my flower arrangement and it so poorly resembled what I ordered on the website. Understandably, Mother's Day is a busy time for florists and with stock limitations, some substitutions are necessary. HOWEVER, what I received did not at all resemble the arrangement advertised - I have attached photos so you can make the call for yourself. Less subtle differences to call out: no succulent (just a bunch of leaves in the shape of a succulent lol), SIZE, colour way (but ok, substitutions maybe? This can slide). It's pretty, but it's not what I ordered and paid for. 3. Flower freshness. Most of the flowers came fully bloomed so we knew immediately the arrangement wouldn't last very long. Some petals were starting to brown and wilt, and today (the day after pick-up) some petals have fallen out already. The arrangement costed over $88 after tax, and was underwhelming. I tried really hard to convince myself I liked it, but after showing photos to a friend who used to work in a flower shop I knew a review was imminent. I'm disappointed that this was my experience with Freshland because I've had excellent experiences with shops in downtown Toronto and have been looking for a business closer to home to support.
