It's look and feel harken back to the old days of being able to wander into a record store shop around and flip through several hundred LPs check- out the latest stuff in from both the new and the latest used music. Then you can wander over to the other part of the store and look at the classic toys you grew up with and reminics about how much your Heman collection would be worth. Then snag a Voltron figure for your office shelves! I guess this shows how nerdy I actually am... but I know I will see many of you at this store!

He finds some really cool gems in the collections he acquires. Ron will also keep an eye out for something you are looking for or get it from his distributor if he can. Great rock, metal, pop, alternative, country, jazz, and rap/hip-hop selections. Even some really cool rarities! Vinyl (new & used) cassettes, CDs, boxsets, stereo equipment, DVDs, and odds and some novelties. If you are a music fan, you need to check this shop out!

We went inside and found a moderately sized vinyl record store with a great mix of old and new music on vinyl and met the really nice owner Ron. We chose a Taylor Swift album and got 3 classic albums and Ron even threw in an old Ronny Milsap album because he hadn't had a chance to check it out or clean it. All at very reasonable prices! It was a great find and we plan on visiting often! We're definitely going to be regulars. Also, this was my husband's first vinyl record, now he's hooked!!

They carry many of the staples when it comes to the classics and "must haves" for a collection but I did find some LP's that I was surprised to see there. It's huge inside, tons and tons of used vinyl. A small but mighty selection of new records too. I would love to come back with more time on my hands to go through the crates of jazz and classical. Their RSD selection was healthy too. There was a basement with this year's and last year's selections. When I checked out the staff was super friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Some are new, some are used. Place is packed with records from one end to the other and you have to navigate in/around the people there which is how it was done in the old days. I remember finding 'The Information Society' in downtown Lawrence as a teen, was funny to me in that I was picking up They Might Be Giants first release, and the Big Science release from Laurie Anderson. Things I did in the late 1980s once before. I hate feeling like some old person saying 'back in my day' but there is a sense of contentment to flip through a huge selection of sounds, seeing things and deciding if based just on the cover if it's worth spending your hard earned money on. Something playing over head selected by someone who works there, finding something new, it was a shared experience that I think we miss now with everything algorithmic and solo. The only downside being that it's hard to balance a solid selection in a physical location, I'm sure compared to 'online' but there's nothing quite like flipping through records and finding something you were looking for. Solid pricing for a retail location in downtown, you're not going to buy 11 records for a penny like Columbia house but you won't be disappointed with the selection and the hunt.

They also had a small book store section with new and used books. I ended up buying a fictional book and it was four dollars for a used book. We actually did recommend this store to people that we know who collect albums and they were happy that we did!

I thought what a wonderful idea of selling back my books. My goal was to get a few books for an exchange. I received $10.56. I certainly understand the business aspect of sales, but this is ridiculous. I wanted to get another book that was $ 15.49 and asked if I could at least "call it even" and was told I could only have my credit applied... I will never go back and donate all future books elsewhere or throw them away. Not worth the gas to go there. By the way I do not need money... PRINCIPAL. you all should go out of business.
