We were really pleased with our basement remodel, but each month we love it more--here's why: in…read moremy regular work I handle construction loans every day. 90% of the time, I hear complaints about the contractor. We didn't really understand the quality of this remodel until I heard about others' experience. Bill was detailed in the prework, including very specific plans and drawings. He came back with illustrations that let us "see" the completed project before it started. Even though we made a couple of unusual requests, Bill did the research, came back with multiple solutions, and let us pick the one we liked the best. Most of the folks I've spoken with felt they needed to follow the contractor and continually check on the work completed. Not us! I never had to check on the progress or the quality, because both were outstanding. In my line of work, I don't have time to check in and worry over every detail. It's great that we could find a contractor who did the worrying for us. The basement was the big one, but we're already lining up the next project for Dream Mill.

I saw KC's work…read moreadvertised on Facebook marketplace, produced by him locally and priced well under $2,000 for tables and bench sets. Comparably appearing commercial sets are found between $4,000 - $10,000 US dollars. The turn around time from ordering to build was less than 6 weeks, though even with that KC was very helpful expediting due to some family arriving. KC was very accessible through messaging and was extremely accommodating on customizing his table & bench product, as concerning available stains & finishes. KC was also forthright in saying he is not a master carpenter, rather he is just a guy who learned to build tables in his garage and now sells them to fill a particular market need. The appearance of the product is very good, especially for the low cost. Though, these table are definitely not a work of master carpentry, to be handed down as heirlooms, etc. The chairs are mail ordered and assembled by KC, though the benches are built on site, as with the table itself from wood purchased locally, likely at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. Our table's eating surface has deep openings from the presence of knots in the pine wood that aren't addressed by any kind of filler, clear resin or otherwise... though he did testify to pooling varnish in it during the build to help protect the wood. The underside of the table is also unfinished and shows some added bracing to help quickly bring the wood into alignment. Food crumbs or spilled milk getting trapped in the unaddressed eating surface recesses is my only gripe because you'd need to use a vacuum to get it out, if it came out at all. It's the only improvement which really is necessary for his product and price point- from even just a practical & functional aspect. A bit of clear epoxy fill before the varnish would make this a 5 star product without reservation, particularly in view of its unbeatable price point. KC was a good guy to deal with, I do recommend the business.

The couple of pictures provided after the roof install looked okay A few months later a part of the flashing blew off due to not being properly installed. They fix it. About a year after later the roof started to leak. As Womack gave a 5 year warranty on the labor, I called them back. I was sent a picture of pipe boot and was told they had replaced it. Almost 2 years to the date of the new roof installation, I get another call from the tenant for the roof leaking again in the same place. I called Mr. Womack again and he said he would be out to fix it that afternoon. He did not show. I called back several times and he would not answer the phone. I had to travel to the building and found that instead of installing the new flashing I had paid for, Womack had reused the old flashing which had been bent in numerous places when it was taken off the old roof, plus their were gaps in the flashing which will cause rot to the wood underneath. The picture of the pipe boot was a fraud, as there are no pipes ventilated that way on the roof. He had placed a little bit of caulk over a crack instead of properly sealing the crack, which leaked again. The rubber roofing itself was buckled in numerous places. Also, to save on the rubber roof material, numerous small pieces had been patched together rather than using one continuous piece of rubber. I was really ripped off. The value of the flashing was stolen from me. I got a really inferior job and the 5 year labor warranty was not honored.
