I could have spent all day here and a stack of cash - sadly I only had an hour and a van full of deliveries so no room to take things home (I really wanted one of the many record player cabinets they had here) so I didn't shop up a storm.
The lady looking after the shop explained to me some of the history of the building and the items for sale here. Relics of the big factories that have sadly closed - this particular building used to produce springs for Ford. Scattered around the HUGE warehouse are reminders of its past - massive tooling machines, pulley lifts industrial scale fuse boards.
There is everything from clothes to building materials, records, bikes, furniture to old surfboards and art. Super eclectic mix of wares. If you have hours to spend searching through this place you could find some gems- and a few bargains. read more
