We both ordered lunch special, Thai pad variety with spring rolls and traditional drinks. I went with the young fresh coconut and she went with Thai coffee. The drinks were terrific and both pad thais were flavourful, although portion size a touch small. Our server wasn't the strongest communicator, couldn't describe the dishes we inquired about and ended of forgetting our appetisers. She was the weak component of our dining experience that was overall ok.

Decor is just what you expect from a local Chinese restaurant, seating is cosy and clean, toilets the same. The Wonton soup was hearty. Lots of meat and wontons and very flavorful. Spring rolls nothing special, but good. Special Fried Rice and Chicken Chow Mein was delicious. Quantity was good for 4 people, but tasted so good we could have had more. Service was friendly, but a little slow. Not from lack of effort, just needed maybe 1 more server. Reasonable price at $60/couple which included bottle of wine, a beer and tea. Host was very friendly and gracious - a real nice bloke! All in all a good experience and we will be back.

It was a generous amount of food and their yellow curry was one of the best I've ever had. The food came quickly; service was fast and friendly. Lunchtime seating was self-selection so we ordered up front; it was about 10 minutes from order to the food being brought out. They are also BYO and have a selection of soft drinks, water and items like coconut juice available. In all a wonderful little Thai place with great food at a good price.

It's kind of a hidden little location behind the large shopping mall, but not terribly far from the main coastal bus line (and one of the closest restaurants to the very nice park surrounding the nearby lighthouse). Service was a little off; they apparently needed to ask a manager if I could take one of the several empty tables, and they were a tad slow and confused thereafter. However, I was happy enough with what I ordered. A thick lentil curry with a hint of coconut. I asked for it hot, and there was a noticeable, but hardly threatening burn. There were plenty of whole spices floating around in there. The bread on the side I got was oily and delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was one of the few Australian Asian restaurants where rice was included in the price of the curry (tasty saffron rice at that). It was certainly good enough that I would want to come back. Note: not open for lunch; only dinner.
