My time at Hyde Park Village was essentially an elite level window shopping experience with my…read moremother, and honestly, I would not trade that day for anything. She was with me for my hair appointment, so we turned the whole thing into a full blown mother daughter day, which made it special regardless of what we did or did not buy. Hyde Park Village is absolutely perfect for strolling, wandering, lingering, and people watching because if you want to observe how the well heeled set moves through life, this is your front row seat. You will see retirees with serious jewelry sitting at cafés for hours, young professionals dressed like they have brand partnerships, and valet attendants casually opening doors to cars that cost more than some people's homes. It is fascinating in the best way. As for shopping, I will say this with humor and humility, it is way outside of my budget. I can admire the displays, appreciate the tailoring, and mentally style outfits I am not purchasing, but when I look at the price tags I am reminded that I am there for the ambiance and not the transactions. That does not make the experience any less enjoyable because there is something wonderful about walking through a beautifully curated space without the pressure to buy. For me, Hyde Park Village works as a place to enjoy a gorgeous Florida day, grab a bite, observe the scene, and spend quality time with my mother, which is what truly mattered. I may not have left with shopping bags swinging from my arm, but I left with a memory of a really lovely day, and sometimes that is the better purchase anyway.

Cute little shopping area with name brands as well as local shops. There are a few restaurants to pick from as well. A fun way to spend a few hours if you have time to kill in Tampa.

The store was super cute and quite busy, which I love to see! I love that they have a bar inside the store. What better things to do then drink champagne and do some shopping?! I was surprised to see that their prices, being a small boutique, were very reasonable. I did notice that only one person seemed to be working for this busy day and unfortunately I was unable to try on something that I had wanted because I couldn't reach and the line at the register was too long for me to bother her. I will definitely try to come back in before summer and see what they've got!

They own Don Me Now and Bubbly Barchique located in Channelside in the Fitzgerald building. The concept of the boutique is very cute! You can find a little something for everyone including your fur babies! You can also throw a birthday party, girls night, networking event, and etc in her boutique. You get to enjoy some champagne and apps while shopping! What more can you ask for? Danielle and Graham are very personable and have made every single one of my shopping experiences special! I feel like they make it a point to get to know me and help me with what I'm looking for! Everyone who also know Danielle and Graham have only good things to say about them! They are such genuine people and I'm so glad I literally live across the street from them so I can pop on over any time! If you haven't been to their shop yet, please do yourself a favor and go! Your experience will be nothing short of amazing!

The place carries a variety of "southern" gear, which equates into what fraternity people who are no longer in a fraternity would wear after leaving college. It also caters to the people who are actually still in fraternities. Like I said, it is a very Southern place, so think camo hats, fishing shirts, maybe some nice button downs, bow ties, croakies. For the ladies, the clothing is pretty cute but don't count on the stock changing too much. I think I have literally seen the same dress sitting in the place for an entire year. They also carry jewelry and some housewares that are pretty Tampa-esque, which is neat. I must say I'm sorta bummed about this place though because they were running a Creative Loafing deal half off and then rescinded it AFTER I had bought it which sort of sucks because it seems like these people want the money and not the good business that they could get from the deal. Their stuff goes on sale sometimes but it's hardly anything to bat my eyes over since I know it'll always be there, even a year from now.

I come over here all the time on my nightly walk and people watch. I also have been to Splitsville a bunch for bowling and eating. The LightHaus Beer Garden is at the middle of the wharf and is a nice place to watch a game, catch a beer, and enjoy the Tampa weather. Sundays are usually the best day to come here because then you can watch the cruise boats sail away. The Tampa sign is right next to here. There's not a giant Sparkman Wharf chair that you can get your picture at. Oh, and don't sleep on JoToro. I like getting Mexican food over there and it's very cheap. Once again, another great spot to people watch.

There were quite a few food places to choose from and a nice grassy area to sit outside and eat, which gave it a relaxing atmosphere. The downside for me was that there really weren't many shops; actually I believe I only saw one shop and it was for dogs. I think it would be much better if they added more shops and a souvenir shop would be awesome so visitors and cruise travelers could pick up some unique treasures while they're there. Overall, it's a decent spot to grab a bite and relax for a little while, but I was hoping for a bit more shopping and entertainment.
