First things first: the Millville Public Library is a small hometown library. As such, it will…read morenever have the resources of larger libraries. It is, however, part of CLUES, which is the countywide library system. That means the resources available here are those available throughout the county. The problem with the library is that despite its small resources and limited space, the library does not function well. Librarians are not concerned with missing books. Reserving books means nothing. Oh, they may pull the book from the shelf, but they do not e-mail nor do they they telephone to inform one the book is now available. And it takes six months for them to receive a new book and get it available to the public. Those are all things that could easily be improved to make the library an enjoyable experience. Until those things are corrected, the library will continue to receive poor remarks from me.

My usual library was closed so I looked up if there was any others in the area. I came across this…read moreone and wasn't expecting much as I drove over. I was mistaken as I walked up. It was gorgeous! The librarian looked like Judy Blume and was helpful when I asked for a place to study. I sat by the windows which overlooked a lake and got to people watch while charging my phone and laptop. Well lit and warm, I was able to finish some essays easily. Plenty of book selections that I briefly took a look at. Substantial areas for children and teens to spend time reading and hanging out. Computer lab looked incredible and very private so I image if you're trying to get some work done you'll be able to focus in there. The bathrooms were super clean like probably the cleanest I've seen for a public place. They have museum passes here which I love to see. Free Covid rapid tests are available too. Benches outside which would be great in the spring and summer to have lunch and hang out. So sad I don't live around here but I would totally take advantage of all their services if I did!

I go there all the time, and I practically LIVE there during the summer. It's a great place to get some studying or writing done! Now that I have a son of my own, I get to relive my childhood and participate in kids' events like Rhyme Time, Explore the Floor, and others! I hope Connor will love the library and reading as much as I do!

When it works out, I stop in at this library fairly often to do some work on my laptop. It's a…read morefairly relaxed atmosphere. That is, it's not entirely quiet: there are often children or adults chattering or a class going on in the computer lab. They have some computers, and wifi. I can't really rate it on book selection, but it's a fairly small library that seems to do a pretty brisk business with people renting dvd's and such. They've also added some services where you can borrow movies, books, and music in an electronic format.

This is an okay library, but as far as county libraries go, it pales to Cape May County. Until…read morerecently, this was part of the CLUES system. CLUES was awesome as all the county's libraries were connected. One card gained access to any library. Unfortunately, within the past year the county went to a new system and tried to force the municipal libraries to follow suit. They didn't. Now we have two different systems. That pretty much relegates the county library on the outs. We went there today for the first time in at least a year. A new card had to be issued. Given we seldom travel this direction, this library is not great for us.

People make all kinds of jokes about community colleges, but as far as they go, this is a great…read moreone. I've taken classes at the undergrad and graduate level at several other schools, and some of the best and most challenging were are CCC. I had to take a semester off from school for surgery and needed to be closer to home so I dropped in for 3 classes at CCC. They were all great. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything at all. Class sizes were a little bigger than at the other colleges I've been to, but I don't feel like that impacted my learning. Cumberland County College also has a really nice lay out, easy parking, and is safe. It's quite lovely, wooded and well maintained. I wish I had taken more classes at CCC because they're a bargain and it was very pleasant learning environment!
