Holy Cow does this place get packed when they have an in season book sale!…read more Considering OC's somewhat smallish year round population this building is really first class. It's sort of a Swiss Army Knife thing going on with the building housing a common lobby area with wireless internet, the Aquatic & Fitness Center, Arts Center, Museum, Library, Senior Center and a Café. Even without a book sale going on this library has a nice size to it and really offers a broad scope of material. Of course with not being a resident it's a no-go on borrowing but everything is still very bright, open and airy. Back to the book sale. It's a complete zoo where it seems like the whole town shows and up I can see why because they have tons of books, DVD's and yes even VHS's for sale at very reasonable prices starting at a quarter for a book. I know that most people on vacation wouldn't dream of hanging out in a library but if you get a questionable weather day this one is top notch and is great place to spend some time.

The facility is great. At arrival, my son thought we had arrived at a college, not a library! It's…read morehuge and well organized. There is an ample computer station for children, with 7 computers, available, some of which are touch screen. They have two story times on Friday, one for 2-3 year olds from 10:00-10:30AM and one for 4-6 year olds from 11:00-11:30AM. It's nice that they have the option and separate time for older kids, as that is not common in libraries and most gear their storytimes toward younger toddlers and babies. In addition, they have book clubs for adults and older children, as well as a craft time available for children in the summers on Mondays, (registration required). In the kids area they have toys set up for children, which is a decent but not great selection. Parking is free, but if you do choose to go at a story time plan early to circle for parking, as it can take 10 minutes or so to find a spot. The staff wasn't overly friendly, at least not in our experience. The computer area was a little congested, and they may want to suggest a maximum time per child on each computer. My only other suggestion would be that they take care of the restrooms, as several were filthy.

Not every exam is offered everyday, and they only have 7 computers at the facility. Also, the website says you only need to bring your pre-licensing certificate and one form of ID, but the last two times I went for an exam, I was asked for a second form. You can't bring any belongings into the facility except your documentation and your car keys. I've even see them ask people to remove jackets/sweatshirts. This wouldn't really be a problem except.... The facility is freezing. Absolutely frigid. My limbs go numb in the 25 minutes it takes to complete an exam. The facility is clean and quiet. And the staff are really great, probably the best thing about this place. Granted, you only spend 5 minutes with them, but they're never rude or miserable, even at 8:30am! The website also says you need to be at the testing site a half hour before your scheduled exam, but you probably don't. If you are, they'll let you start your exam early. I've also seen them allow people taking multiple exams scheduled a few hours apart to take one right after the other.

It was gorgeous! The librarian looked like Judy Blume and was helpful when I asked for a place to study. Plenty of book selections that I briefly took a look at. Substantial areas for children and teens to spend time reading and hanging out. Computer lab looked incredible and very private so I image if you're trying to get some work done you'll be able to focus in there. The bathrooms were super clean like probably the cleanest I've seen for a public place. They have museum passes here which I love to see. Free Covid rapid tests are available too. Benches outside which would be great in the spring and summer to have lunch and hang out. So sad I don't live around here but I would totally take advantage of all their services if I did!

First things first: the Millville Public Library is a small hometown library. As such, it will…read morenever have the resources of larger libraries. It is, however, part of CLUES, which is the countywide library system. That means the resources available here are those available throughout the county. The problem with the library is that despite its small resources and limited space, the library does not function well. Librarians are not concerned with missing books. Reserving books means nothing. Oh, they may pull the book from the shelf, but they do not e-mail nor do they they telephone to inform one the book is now available. And it takes six months for them to receive a new book and get it available to the public. Those are all things that could easily be improved to make the library an enjoyable experience. Until those things are corrected, the library will continue to receive poor remarks from me.
