I have one word to say about this pub. Carvery. It is renowned for it throughout the valley and is…read morea must visit. They do it every day and for a set price you have a choice of meat of vegetarian option. The selection of things to put on your plate is immense, and I can guarantee your plate won't be big enough to have it all. I don't drink beer so I can't comment as others have done but my friend happily downed a pint of 'Otter', a tasty local brew, and 'John's Smith's' was also available. Parking is on site, unless covered in snow and slush (pic) as it was on our recent visit. On that point we had excellent service as a lady rang to advise us that the car park was covered in snow and did we therefore wish to cancel our booking. 'No thanks,' I said, 'we are regulars.' Back to the food; the puds are 'scrummmmmy' and again good value. H&H can be quite busy on a weekend evening (pic), a good sign surely, and for the first time on our recent visit we were given a table in the new seating area (pic). My general view is that you are very unlikely to be disappointed if you dine here.
