It does some reasonable quality wines, but is also great for slightly unusual but very affordable bottles for dinner parties or just a treat. There are also some snack foods at one side of the store, although they're just like a tiny bit of a motorway service station shop, so pop along to Subway down the road instead unless you're really in a hurry.

TOAD, as it's lovingly called, offers a wide range of distilled spirits all based on an ancient the, brought back from the ages and grown with no intervention through entirely organic and biodynamic processes. The result is a unique grain that produces a rich, flavorful spirit. Even their single distilled vodka is unique and has chocolate and caramel flavors. I don't love vodka, but still brought home a bottle. Apparently I'm not alone, this bottle one the best vodka in the works and has been served at the Russian embassy! My favorite was the Distillers Edition Oxford The, which is just slightly too young to officially call a whisky, but just as delicious. I cannot wait until December when they bottle their first 3+ year old whisky. The staff was super friendly, and we really got a behind-the-scenes tour with plenty of free drinks. Queuing up and paying seems to take a while, but I realised the other day that they have tills at both ends of the store and you can pay at the cigarette counter if you are in a rush. They have the baskets which also turn into little trolleys, so its not a problem if you're buying heavy goods, although carrying them back to your car might be. There is no supermarket customer car park, although there is a car park just outside and a place where people can pick up at the back. You can use your nectar cards here as with any sainsbury's which is definitely an added bonus. Very convenient shop in central location and has all the essentials.

Staff friendly and you don't feel rushed at the till and can exchange a few words without a long line of customers tutting. Lovely small cafe well worth taking time out for a coffee
