$8.99 Prosecco was just what I needed for my event budget and everyone loved it!

Back for Prosecco! Years ago I picked up Prosecco for a ladies night hair salon event I co-hosted. It made complete sense to stop back in a second time in preparation of a similar event that happened last night. What's great about coming to Vin Chicago, is the fact that you can get everything you need for a really fantastic price...and value. I purchased seven bottles of Prosseco at $8.99 per bottle. Super helpful for my budget, and I feel good purchasing here because the business is family owned. I fully admit to being green when it comes to picking out Prosecco. Thankfully this store is super organized, small enough to navigate, and the signage led me to the proper aisle. There were about 3-4 types. I didn't see the brand from the last time, and so I knew it was time to get assistance. There was this "hi" brand that was super girly and cute, and then it was a toss up between two others. The guy who assisted me (at a loss for his name at the moment), was fantastic. He led me to a new bottle they just got in from the 90+ collection. Here's info about the bottle I ended up with (https://vinchicago.com/wines/8711-detail). I'm so glad I went with this option, because everyone loved it! Vin Chicago is great, because you get high-end customer service without the higher price points. Talk about a great value!

Visited today to pick up some wines, Alessandro helped me and he was a delight! So helpful! I needed 3 white and 3 red and only had loose parameters, he was able to narrow down exactly what I needed! It was so perfect and I appreciate him going above and beyond!

Vin Chicago is the greatest gem of a wine store. Tucked away between the highway and the Tesla dealer, this little shop seems like not much. But they have the best selection of wines at great prices. The guys who work here are also very educated on their products and can suggest items that you're looking for. They even had 10 kosher for Passover wines last time I was in, which was incredible to find! They also email you the tasting notes/save it in their system so you can see what you got last time and order again if you liked it. Overall this place is great!

The beer and wine I selected didn't have prices on the shelves and now I know why. The pricing was outrageous nearly double what I would have payed elsewhere. Makes you wonder if they purposefully overcharge you since they didn't bother to price the items.

A few years back, this same location used to be the White Hen Pantry, which never really impressed me. It sat unoccupied for a while, and only recently did I notice that HP Food & Beverages had set up shop here. It's conveniently located at the very front of the Garrity Square shopping plaza, which has just enough parking for most times of the day. When you walk in, you'll see a good selection of snacks - chips, popcorn, candy, instant foods, cookies, nuts, jerky, meat sticks, and more - in the first aisles. They feature a variety of my favorite snack, Slim Kim Popcorn by local company Highland Pop. They have a sensibly modest selection of grocery items one might expect from a decent convenience store, at reasonable prices. In the back are coolers with a number of sodas, sparkling water, juice, milk, and other refreshing drinks. They even have a slushie machine running in the back. At the counter they also have a selection of phone accessories, mints, gum, and other odds & ends at the checkout counter. Where HP Food & Beverages shines brighter than the other convenience stores in the immediate area is the huge selection of alcoholic beverages. They have a number of popular and less-common canned and bottled beers in the fridges along the back wall, and in bigger cases in the aisles. I'm particularly happy that they have cold 16 fl. oz. tallboy 6-packs of Hamm's, which is one of my favorite American macro lagers. In the middle they have a nice selection of bottled and a few boxed wines. Behind the counter they have an impressive selection of liquor and liqueurs. I noticed several of my favorite whiskey varieties, and at very reasonable prices. I chatted with the guy behind the counter for a little bit, and he recommended several new single malt scotch and a blended whiskey that I might like. He definitely knew his products, suggesting that much of the selection is carefully curated. Between their convenient location, good selection, reasonable prices, and friendly service; HP Food & Beverages is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. I'll be sure to stop by more often when I need a quick snack or to pick up some drinks.
