Red rum, not French island rum - I find this like hair oil! The owner is friendly and well informed; he speaks French (naturally) but also English, and some German he said. We were on holiday touring France mostly, doing wine tasting in a range of places. It was my first visit to Switzerland, and I was a little sceptical about Swiss wine but he had some interesting bottles, and can help with advice about Swiss wines and domaines in the area. Vevey is the home of Nestlé but I didn't ask if he could recommend a wine to go with chocolate - I wonder if the Swiss have a better match than Banyuls?! read more
