The area near the cinemas and Archi's Thai restaurant.
Norm K.

Village Square was a nice shopping plaza when I first moved here about a dozen years ago. Anchored by the Regal Village Square Theatre complex, the center had shops of all kinds from a bakery with fine teas to a low cost hair cutting place. Over a period of time, new businesses took the place of others that closed and the center seem to lose a bit of its original luster. Then the great recession hit and the place became like a ghost town. There were more empty stores than open ones and some of the businesses had a hard time hanging on and staying in business. In the last year, the owners of the plaza announced that they were going to renovate the exteriors and generally make the place a more pleasant area. New palm trees have been planted, the store fronts have a fresh coat of paint, but best of all they have changed the way you enter and park in the center. Previously, you had to go east or west and then park in rows facing north and south. Today when I went to get take out from Archi's Thai Café, I noticed that the parking is wonderful. You can go right straight through and park in an east/west direction. This makes so much better sense. There are some new stores coming including a new Mexican restaurant. Those holding on have been Archi's, Tropical Smoothie Café, Alligator Soup crafts store, and Cold Stone Creamery. Let's hope with the improving economy and the facelift the owners have given Village Square, the best is yet to come!

(Hubby has a hard time when it comes to parallel parking. Being from the Bay Area, that's a way of life for us!) Checked out the following stores: Lush, the Lego store, Macy's, Dillard's, Nordstrom Rack, & Rack Room Shoes. It is a walking-centered shopping center, but some drivers are not letting peds walk in the designated crosswalks. Shame. (In Cali, if you don't give right of way to the peds, you get a ticket!) The shade is nice. So it wasn't so bad. We definitely got a lot of steps in. We also walked to the water feature, that we remember our son being obssessed with, when he was a wee one.

Wow, it's a huge shopping center that offers a selective handful of retail, dining, and entertainment. Tons of parking all around. I recall having get-togethers for grubs at Kona Grill, Cheesecake Factory, Hussong's; and most recently the new place, Loaded Empanadas. Apparently, there is much to offer here. Let's not stop at envisaging the restaurants. The shopping plaza increasingly has stores selling furniture, outdoor lifestyle gear, formal attire, pets and supplies, health and beauty merch, liquor and liqueur, plus your regulars such as Target, Ross, and Office Depot. It's busy as ever especially with the holiday season. Parts of the parking lot have a queue and bustle of pedestrians and shoppers. That all attributes to the spark and attractiveness of Boca Park. The other awesome thing is this Plaza is directly across from another lovely shopping and dining locality (Tivoli Village) off of Alta Drive. I love this area!

Ordered a breakfast pizza, tomato bisque and Cherry Danish. Food that was ready for pick up was everything except the breakfast pizza. I waited close to 17 mins for that pizza and was told it takes time to make fresh pizza. Overall, this is the place to be! Prices are the same as if you ordered a sandwhich from the gift shop but this place has way better food. You get a bang for your buck here. I did not feel ripped off. Excellent place. Just make sure when you order a breakfast pizza that you will be waiting for 15 minutes or more! Haha

The only business that had more than a couple of customers was the View Wine Bar, in the middle of an otherwise busy weekend afternoon where other businesses where packed and a farmer's market filled the plaza with foot traffic. This area has a variety of complementary but non-competing businesses clustered together: a braiding/blow-dry bar and a tanning salon, a portrait studio and an art shop, a candy store and kid's clothing shop, and a surprisingly stunning décor store. Several of them seemed to be hurting for business though, with a single bored-looking employee and no customers. Property management seems to be making an effort to direct traffic this way: there are standing easels in the outdoor plaza pointing to the entrances in the area, there is a dedicated elevator in the parking garage, and extensive wall-art encouraging visitors to stop in and explore. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working.

The access in and out of the plaza is very good, but not great. Kind of tight on the curves maneuvering up and down the parking aisles. From the street entrance with traffic signals, a left or right turn forces you into an almost immediate left or right turn again or else you drive over parking spaces. You have to be careful turning left and then left again as you are also dealing with vehicles exiting out of the JackintheBox drive thru at that point. Still, it's located directly off of a major street and offers some businesses I like, and it's not too far away for me so there is a convenience factor.

We've been here several times over the past month. In fact, we were here yesterday afternoon at Sprouts (there was an older lady on a rascal asking for money in the parking lot, FYI- the overall crowd here is mixed, families, couples, singles, older, younger, etc.). We usually plan out our weekend jaunts, so when we are in the area, we plan accordingly. Also located here: 99 Cents Only store (it's hit or miss with this store), eight other fast food options/ restaurants like Panda Express, Samurai Sam's, Subway, Del Taco and Windy City Beef (hotdogs). Banks, a paint shop, and a variety of services are also located here. The parking lot is huge, and there are several points of entry from at least three directions of the shopping center. Next business on Lake Mead is a soccer field. And two other shopping centers are across from Summerlin Gateway Plaza. It's also across from a housing community. I used to work nearby at a real estate office, so I'm familiar with the area. Now that we live in Summerlin, we often shop in local shopping centers.

I…read morefound that Vegas has a Chinatown and after some research found there's also a Koreatown, which is why we came here. We got here around 8pm and most of the shops in this plaza had already closed. My mom grabbed what she could at the bakery. Red, green, white mung bean pastry, a coconut cream filled pastry and sweet cream raisin rolls. Not sure how to describe this one but it's sweet rolls, sliced in half and filled with cream and sprinkled with raisins. I've had this before at other places, that's why we grabbed it. This bakery does it pretty well. Their cream is a bit thicker than what I'm used to but their bread came in a pinch when we were hungry after midnight. Lol. We went to the grocery part after and found a bunch of random snacks, like powdered soy milk, prepackaged pastries, wasabi alomonds/peanuts. We bought a pack of 24 bottled water for 4.99, so that was a good deal. The next day we came back when more of the shops were open. My sister purchased some items from the Kpop store. They carried a variety of merchandise and artists. They had pins, stickers plushies, apparel, playing cards just to name a few. I would've taken pictures but it was small and very crowded. They had someone eatching the store front so I didnt want to look sus taking pics. They were playing performances on a TV so I had something to do as she browsed around. Next to that was the make up. My sister was in and out so I didn't look around too much, but most of the inventory was Toly Moly which I've been able to purchase on Amazon. I saw they had an assortment of moisturizering face masks, not sure pricing. Besides the shops we visited, they have a food court. I saw a sushi shop tucked in the corner but didn't notice anything else. They also have a store carrying anime/manga merchandise. I saw a salon, furniture store and a travel agency inside as well. They also have bathrooms and while not the nicest and fanciest, there was someone in there cleaning it so atleast it was maintained. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for Asian related items.

Their store isn't huge, but you can find a few good quality products here. Inventory is low. Simple little store. I will keep coming back when stopping inside Greenland supermarket for Korean groceries.
