I visited about 6 months ago, but the place seemed dark and the man I spoke with was not friendly. Well, about a month ago, I was desperate and decided to take a chance. This time, it was bright inside and I could see what I was doing and they had fans blowing. The family (mostly female) that was working on drop-off laundry was happy and having a good time but work fast and hard. They were helpful when needed. The man who was grumpy 6 months ago showed up today, and he was OK, still kind of grumpy but not in a bad way, and he was helpful. I think he might be the one who keeps the equipment working??? This would have a 5-star rating except that not all the equipment is in operable condition. In particular, it is the older and smaller less expensive washers that have signs on that they are not working, and it does not look like they will be either repaired or replaced any time soon, as the "broken" signs look like they have been there a long time already. But I always use the newer larger units. So far I have been there 4 times. I usually have 4 loads per visit and I am always able to find clean washers in the larger size that I like to use and there are always dryers available. Maybe this is because I go there in the weekday mornings before the college crowd shows up. I don't know what it is like in the afternoons. There are usually about 5 to 7 others there when I do my laundry there. Anyway, this is closer than the place I have been using the past 3 years, and my laundry seems cleaner as if the machines work better than my usual place. At my usual place the clothes still have a lot of water on them when I put them in the drier and at this place the clothes come out less wet and take less time to dry. read more
