I have come to the Village hotel a number of times, for the gym, pub, Starbucks and restaurant. The hotel is a lovely 4 star hotel with a huge modern gym equipped with the newest equipment, a large pool (indoor and outdoor), spa, golf course, Underarmor sports clothing store, Victory pub, an Italian style restaurant and Starbucks.
I've been for food and drink at the Victory pub a number of times and the service is always excellent. Very friendly staff and good variety on the menu, all served to high quality. They have the usual pub food such as pizzas, chicken, salads, wraps and ciabattas, a big selection of burgers and some curry dishes too. Vegetarians are also catered for and prices are mostly around £10, portions are big. I really liked their veggie wrap and veggie burger. The also do some nice sweet potato fries here too.
The gym is like a luxury gym; very modern with lots of TVs and also at each machine, two pools, steam room and sauna, as well as personal training and classes. A day pass is £10, and membership rates vary with off peak or peak. I used to be a member but not anymore, and it costed me about £40 per month at that time for full peak.
The Starbucks in here is similar to any of the other ones but more expensive and they do not accept the Loyalty card.
I've only been to the Italian restaurant once and it was ok. I much prefer the pub, but if you're looking for something more formal then it's a better choice but more pricy.
The Village have a lot of meeting rooms as well so it's a great choice for hosting events, courses etc. and also do Wedding packages. Overall one of the nicest hotels in Blackpool along with the Hilton by the Promenade, the only downside being that it's out away from the town center. But for a quieter time it's great, and Stanley Park is just opposite the hotel. Parking is also free. read more
