EXTRAORDINARY! INVOLVING LOCATION, DELIGHTFUL FOOD... AND GOOD PRICE…read more Simply extraordinary: no other world can be used to define my experience here. I was in Zakopane in those days. And I spent an Afternoon inside Tatra National Park in Kuznice. Suggested by AI "Copilot", I turned to this Karczma, which I reached after a 1,8 km walk. The place is suggestive: wooden structure, wooden furniture, soft lighting with candles. In short, a place where one feels like staying and dwelling. Also the welcoming is agreeable, without invadence, in perfect Polish style, but warm. Live Goranco Music completed the plot. Karczma 's menu is an invite to local mountain kitchen, perfect after a walk. I chose with the help of Artificial Intelligence, a really remarkable travel mate for me. And I decided for a "Placek Zbójnicki", "Highlander Potato Fritters" in English, a spectacular dish with potatoes, Oscipek (a smoked cheese from Tatra), beef goulash and pickled cucumber A delightful and really tasty dish. But Polish cakes are delightful: and I couldn't resist from taking a Sernik, typical Polish Cheesecake, served with fruit and ice cream. Delightful. I accompanied all with a tea with dried apple, cranberries (served apart, in a small bowl , to be added after some minutes) and cloves. Perfect for such a dinner. I dwelled for awhile in the atmosphere of the place, until closing time. Lulled by the place and its beauty, and by the Music. The bill was 119 Zloty, about 27 Euros. For a spectacular dinner. For ne really inexpensive, also considering the prices of other countries, where this price wouldn't have been enough just for the main dish. By closing, a really delightful experience in a really agreeable and involving (and wrapping) place, with delightful food, delightful and agreeable service and a good price. Impossible to refrain from suggesting this place! Location: 5/5. Service: 5/5 Menu: 5/5 Quality/Peace ratio: 4/5

One of the best Polish regional restaurants in Zakopane!!…read more Karczma przy Młynie is located a little bit outside of the main town/main street of Zakopane, only 5 minutes away by car. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy, the decor is very typical for the mountain region in Poland. Great heavy wooden tables and chairs, wood burning stoves, fireplaces, stone walls. Everything we ate in Karczma was delicious and the portions absolutely satisfying! We tried couple different dishes including potatoes, sausages, goulash, potato pancakes with mushroom sauce! Yum! - take a look at the pictures I uploaded :) The service was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend Karczma przy Mlynie for your lunch or dinner when you're visiting beautiful Zakopane!

We were on a tour…read morethat took us through multiple areas and landed here and enjoyed the area [as much as we could seeing we were on a very tight schedule.] This is a beautiful restaurant located just minutes from the finicula we took to the mountain top. It is a lovely shop with very comfortable decorations and furniture. I loved the multiple fireplaces and their outdoor seating was ample and comfortable. Thee was local music playing the whole time and continued to male for a very pleasant experience. We (there were three of us) ordered a nice lunch as we had been out for a while. The staff is dressed in a periodic clothing and everyone was extremely helpful and attentive. They easily earned the five stars. Not sure whyt anyone would give them two... Our lunch consisted of: -Chicken soup -Burger and Fries -Veal cutlet with a fried egg on top -Pirogies with apple and cinnamon I will say in a blanket statement that everyone truly enjoyed their meal and we all commented about the freshness and taste. I had the veal and tried my wife's pirogies. I enjoyed the change from meat, cheese and mushroom to the apple and cinnamon. Overall this spot is highly recommended if you visit Zakopane.
