It made the whole space feel dirty and uncomfortable. On top of that, communication with the rental company was extremely frustrating. It was difficult to get responses, and when we did, they were slow and unhelpful. We reached out about the cleanliness issues and never received a proper resolution during our stay. Overall, this was not the experience we expected or paid for. I would not recommend this property unless significant improvements are made to both cleanliness and customer service.

What is important is how well those in "control" manage to address the issues. We can truly say that we were very impressed with the effectiveness of Home Rental Systems (especially our contact, Renee) in dealing with concerns we raised. SVP is friendly, responsive, helpful, and in the rare case of a problem they are right on it. The washing machine in our unit went bad, and they sent someone out to confirm the problem and within a few days the new one was installed. They even told us where to get our clothes cleaned and offered reimbursement... not needed since the fix came so fast but hugely appreciated. They also make it very easy to book pet-friendly properties. We stay at the Island Beach Club and can't see staying anywhere else.

The pool was dirty and the heater was not working when we got there. The location was terrible, 45 minutes from the closest beach. If you are wanting to go to the beach this place it the wrong place. Really no good restaurants local with out the long drive closer to Ft. Myers. The refrigerator ice machine didn't work and this was noted on a different review and not fix. It was hot in the house temperature was set at 76 and could not be changed. We had to buy fans to sleep at night. The neighborhood was a construction zone, was woke up every morning to loud music, beating and banging and equipment running. The pool rules stated not to be in the pool after dark, there was a good reason because the house behind it was about 20 feet from the pool. House rules if you use the grill and don't clean it you would be charge $50. If you didn't take the trash to the curb you would also be charge. If you didn't clean things in the house you would also be charge. They charged, me $131 dollars for electric for the week, this was likely because the pool had to run for 2 days to heat the pool and circulate all the leaves out of the pool. Would not recommend the property or Pretty Cape Homes, I will definitely fine a different house and a different rental service. Address the issues instead of attacking the review.
