The beautiful, kid-friendly beach with super-soft sand is just across the street. It's a public beach and it gets busy, but you can rent chairs, umbrellas, and a lockbox (a little over €18 a day for the full package, but you can scale down). Or, you can find your own space for free if you have or don't need an umbrella, etc. it turns out that Mallorca is a huge vacation spot for Germans. As Americans, we loved meeting people from Germany and other countries. It was so nice to barely hear English at the pool lol. And, speaking of the pool, it was really lovely. There was a shallow section for kids and then a regular section for everyone else. The buffet dinner was perfectly adequate and the free breakfast in the morning was a really nice perk. We had some special dietary requirements and we knew we would be cooking a lot, so we wrote ahead and asked for a fully equipped kitchen. The fridge is relatively small and it's a tiny little sink, but we had everything we needed. We purchased dish soap and a couple of extra kitchen towels. We eventually learned how to use the single burner induction stove-top. Overall, we were really pleased. it was a wonderful and relaxing place to be.

When going somewhere new we always do a lot of research. In Europe in the summer we definitely need a good AC system. We also much rather stay at a local hotel vs a huge group (not that there is anything wrong with that). When doing research we almost stayed in the Maaloof are which is good if your going to go drinking and clubbing but with 2 kids its not for us. I then looked into smaller towns and being on a nice beach is a must! So I somehow came across the Introutel group and of those hotels found the Esmeralda Park. It was about to be fully remodeled and that was important to us also. We booked a ocean front suite which was perfect of the 4 of us and looked exactly like the renderings! I think we were the first people in the room and the hotel overall was amazing! The pools were great, Dragoland (the kids water park) was great, the restaurants were great and although the hotel was crowded it never felt that way. Its well laid out and the staff really run it well! It was about a hour south of Palma, but easy to get to. You can also walk to town for a million good restaurants. I would highly recommend it for family vacations!

It's very full of families during the summer and they mostly hang out at the beach and pools throughout the day. The terrace bar is great to have a glass of beer. Relatively inexpensive and the food is not great, but decent! The morning breakfast buffet was way above my expectations. It's seriously comparable to a Vegas breakfast buffet. You can stuff yourself silly and it will last you throughout the day. Who needs lunch? We had the breakfast every day of our stay. Definitely a thumbs up! Rooms are suite style with balcony and kitchenette. It's clean and we had an updated suite in the J building. A bit far from the center of the hotel but it was nicely renovated. There is free parking for guests. I do recommend that you take the bus from the airport to the hotel. You honestly don't need a car here b/c everything is just walkable. Upon arrival, we drove up to hotel lobby, and we were able to get our villa right away, because we didn't want to waste any time before heading out to our tee time for at their championship course. Accomodations: Every villa here is exactly the same, so there isn't much of a difference between which area you stay in the resort. The villa was a two-bedroom, two-bath, equipped for a full kitchen, and washer/dryer, which came in clutch as we got to do some laundry half way through our trip. The villa itself has that Spanish charm, and while it's a little bit on the older side, the space was very comfortable. If you had a choice, get a villa closer to the hotel lobby and spa or else you'll have to walk a good distance or drive to get there. They have an attendant that can drive you via golf cart back to your villa though. Amenities: Each section of villas have their own pools for their sections, so it's quiet and relaxing. The main pool near the hotel lobby and spa was pretty cool though. They have an indoor pool that leads out to the outdoor pool, along with a steam room and spas. The spas weren't hot tub temperature, which was a bummer but oh well. They also have tennis, a mini soccer field and basketball courts to use. A couple of restaurants on property, but since we were only there for a couple days, we didn't try them out. Service: The service we received here was great from start to finish. Everyone was very welcoming and answered all the questions we had about the property and were attentive when we needed service in our villa. The people who were working the golf pro shop and the marshalls on the course were 10/10 as well The main reason we were staying here was because we wanted to play some golf. The property has two different courses (East & West), with the East course being the easier of the two. They were doing some work on the greens on the East course (which we originally booked) but they were able to switch us to the West course. The West Course was beautiful and well manicured. The greens weren't super fast, but the bunkers were so well maintained, something I don't get a lot of back home. It's challenging enough to make you use a variety of shots in your bag, and would definitely play here again. This summer, they had a deal for $550 euros for unlimited golf for 7-days, and if I was staying here for even 5 or 6 days, I think it would be worth it, given that golf is pretty pricey on the island in general. We booked our tee time online, which is something I recommend because they had summer deals, which helped drop the price for the round, golf cart, and club rentals. We knew we were going to play, so we brought our own balls, tees, and golf gloves, but with the rental set, you they do give you a sleeve of balls. My only issue with the club rentals is that they didn't have any stiff flex clubs available to rent. I guess they only have one set of stiff flex but it wasn't already loaned out. The rest were all graphite regular, which was a bummer for anyone with faster club head speed but I still enjoyed the round without worrying about my score. Overall, a great hotel if you are looking to get away from the crowds. A fantastic hotel if all you want to do is play golf and lay by the pool.

Since this was April, the outdoor pools were closed, but the large indoor pool was open. The onsite restaurant was just so-so but we found another better restaurant nearby that was good for dinner. The vacation unit we were in had a kitchen and that came in handy for breakfast and lunch. Overall it was very similar to many of the Marriott vacation villas in the US but maybe somewhat lower quality overall.

Cas X'orc is a local Finca (or hacienda or plantation) that is located at the top of the mountain and overlooks the valley below. The views here are incredible!! The restaurant is so quaint and when you walk in they had a roaring fire going (this was during the fall - I'm sure that would not happen during the summer months!). WHAT WE ORDERED: Assortment of homemade breads: This fabulous assortment of homemade breads, including sourdough - my fav! This was served with an herb butter, aioli, and fresh hummus. Don't forget about their fresh homemade olive oil! Mughal chicken korma served with Pappadum and spicy rice: This delicious dish was the perfect medley of chicken tikka masala with a Mediterranean flare. I loved meeting the donkeys and sheep during my walk along the gardens and adored the authentic, yet chic old-world farm feel. If you are very disturbed by a faint farm smell, this might not be the place for you. The staff were incredibly nice, welcoming and accommodating to me. They spoke English very well and answered emails promptly. They also arranged high-quality transfers to and from the airport making travel a breeze. The dinners were pricey but top quality. They even catered to my gluten-free needs and always brought a warm piece of gluten-free bread to my table without me having to ask. The hiking trails are world-class, easy to find from the hotel and well-marked. Only a 1.5 hour hike down to the ocean. It was heaven. My only complaint that necessitates 4 stars instead of 5 was that the room was VERY noisy at night. Granted I go to bed earlier than most Europeans (10pm) but my "superior" room (one upgrade from standard) was right above the main entrance and restaurant and also faced the kitchen. The windows were thin and must have zero noise barriers as I could hear everything outside as if it was happening inside my room including clanging plates and kitchen noise. Although I thought it was cute and charming that the sheep somehow ended up causing a ruckus outside my window the first night, I was less impressed to hear the noisy large groups of restaurant guests talking and laughing in the lobby beyond midnight. I actually had to use my earplugs just to dampen the noise enough to sleep. If you decide to stay, request one of the rooms at the back or one of the private garden cottages - this should ensure a much more tranquil experience.

I am not sure which room types are there, but you share outdoor patio. If you want a private terrace or patio you should absolutely make reservations for those room types - they look great. They are located close to the pool so there might be traffic from other guests. But these units look great as well! There are no fridges or minibars on the room (at least not in the deluxe rooms in the main building).
