NOTE 2: The wedding had 200+ guests = AWESOME place for a big wedding. Parking: You can bring your car here and park freely in the lot. Or uber. But for folks who are wondering: is parking ok? Any valet? I didn't see any valet folks. But your car is safe in the parking lot. Outside Area: Savannah Yacht Club (SYC) building is extremely close to the dock area. It is GORGEOUS. The wedding took place behind the SYC building - where you can see the boats/dock without anything hindering your view. The staff had chairs in the grass area near the trees where my SIL and her (now) husband said their I Do's. I forgot how many actual chairs they had -- but there were tons of rows with chairs. The grass area is massive. Next to the grass area was... a Pavilion with a cement floor (dance floor!) and a stage area (for the band). It's a big area as well. In the Pavilion, we had a bench and a few chairs around the dance floor for people to sit/relax in.... because we all know dancing during a wedding can be intense :P Note: The other side of the Pavilion (not near the trees where the I Do's were said, but you can still see the dock/boats), is also a grass area and my SIL decided to have normal tall tables with chairs there for people to hangout in. Inside Area: Holy sheesh - I had no idea the SYC was a huge building. There are several rooms all connected to the main area to enter the dock view: Bar area (which is huge btw), sitting room, eating/sitting room, etc. Big enough for accommodate 200+ people. Very spacious. I was very pleased with my SIL's picking of venue. No one likes to be squished in 1 area with too many people. There are also tons of tables/chairs/seats to sit/eat. Service: 5/5. I saw servers constantly walking around and making sure everyone was attended to. They were also very polite. I know weddings that last 6 hours can be a strain for some staff members, but SYC's were great sports. Food: I had a few bites to eat -- pork, chick tenders, egg rolls, oysters etc. All were great food! I could tell everyone enjoyed their meals. Overall - if you're getting married in Sav, I'd highly recommend SYC. Your guests will enjoy themselves and have a ton of fun.

I was looking for someone who was familiar with the space, but we were so thrilled that we got so much more than that! I really appreciated Trinity taking the time to hear what my expectations and requests were before establishing her role as our coordinator. She was as available as she needed to be while also giving us space to make our own decisions without pressure. One of the last minute decisions was the music for the reception and unfortunately, I was lost. I explained my issue to Trinity and she delivered! Not only did she get us out of a bind, but she recommended the best band! They were a hit and everyone loved them! Other qualities of Trinity that I appreciated were her calm attitude as well as her exceptional organization skills. She was able to keep everything running smoothly and under control on our big day. She made me feel extremely comfortable by handling everything on so I didn't have to stress. I have already recommended Trinity to my friends for their weddings, and will continue to spread the word in the future. My tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the house and even other movies filmed there. The tour started in the basement with stories about slave workers. The tour ends in the upstairs bedroom, learning about about Alida "Harper" Fowlkes. It you are interest in historic homes, definitely check out the Harper-Fowlkes House if you are in Savannah.
