The patron was rude. We asked for a table. He just said it's "complete," meaning there's no tables, but it came off as basically "just leave." Then there's an ad hoc line outside (in the cold). Finally we get let in. We order one pizza and 2 sodas. The waiter forgets one soda. We ask again. Nothing. 3rd time. Nothing. 4th time with a little more forcefulness. By then we finished our meal and the second soda finally arrives. We suggest he should take it off the bill, explaining it took 20 minutes and asking 4 times. He mutters something incoherent. We then go to pay and, of course, they charge us the 5 euros for one soda (half the price of the pizza itself btw). They refuse to take off the charge. I explain again. The waiter then says "but you got the soda." That's when the French got real good and we told them they were extremely rude. They didn't care. So that's the service. The pizza was mediocre at best, not even close to what others are saying. Maybe the French are just so starved for a decent piece of pizza, this place achieves that illusion. But it's not good. It's not Italy or NYC. It's France. And if this is the best they have to offer, go get a nice piece of fish somewhere else. But it's cheap. Just like their service.

Everything was excellent and the risotto and shrimp was presented beautifully. Not only was this the best meal we've yet to have in France it would stand up to any meal in Los Angeles. The people working were super friendly, accommodating, and fast paced even during the busy hours in the evening. I would highly recommend this as your first stop for pizza as this is the best tasting in the town, and the friendliest. Later on in the night, I actually met the waiters and one of the cooks out at a bar. They instantly took me in, taking me to local spots, introducing me to the people, and overall making me feel welcome in a foreign atmosphere. P.S Elliot or any of the staff members... Prices are steep (16euros average for a small snack and 9 euros for a glass of wine) but the rooftop is perfectly peaceful with lots of seating option. I took the Italian tartine and while small, it's was delicious and well-seasoned. Situated above a little decoration store, it's a little peace of cutesy calm in the coastal town of Deauville.
