It's perfectly located: you can walk right outside the hotel entrance and you're near everything within a very short walk. The room was beautiful, nicely appointed, and the staff/service were excellent! The food at the restaurant was delicious and the bar was great. There's even a bar toward the roof that's a bit more open with spectacular views. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for a week because we've a timeshare with Diamond Resorts. The apartment we got was…read moredecent: stocked with a kitchenette, comfortable living and dining area and bedrooms. I love that the shutters when closed leave the apartment completely dark for the days you want to sleep in. Bed was comfortable and cosy. Kitchenette was missing basic items such as a cutting board, and the stove was difficult to use without instructions. Also, housekeeping never replenished the toiletries (e.g., shampoo and conditioner) despite us asking them to. The walls are also very thin so you can hear the neighbours especially if they start yelling at each other (angry English). The restaurant was amazing. We had the meat and cheese platter (12 euros), gnocchi with clams and mussels (10 euros), and the seafood risotto (13 euros). There were some interesting cheeses on there (one with lemon), and the seafood was fresh! The bread was homemade, and was delicious. Our bill came to 57 euros with a bottle of wine and service charge - totally worth it! Please go check out the restaurant at least once if you visit! The views are also spectacular from the outside dining area. If you see the little black cat wandering around, he's super friendly and sweet (albeit scabby) so give him a couple of pats!

It was one of those "buy the ticket then figure out when you're going" situations (if anyone else does that...). Luckily, this wound up being a great decision. The Relais is the quintessentially charming Italian getaway we were hoping for. The staff is exceptionally friendly (and for the most part speaks nearly perfect English - a major plus when your Italian is as cringe-worthy as mine). They really were fantastic. Be forewarned, the resort itself is about 35-40 minute drive from the actual city of Perugia. There is basically nothing on-site except their passable restaurant and a small spa. It's perfect for people who really want to unwind, but not ideal as a home-base for touring the area. (One half-star off for this.) The restaurant on-site is OK, but honestly was one of our least favorite meals in Italy. (Another half-star off for this.) We wound up going down the street several times to a small place called La Locanda del Colle; you will absolutely need a reservation because it's tiny and DELICIOUS. My recommendations if you pass through and decide to stay in the area: brace yourself for the most unbelievable views, morning and night. It's truly breathtaking! Also, if you are looking for a wine tour, we really liked Gusto Wine Tours. They are local and regularly pick folks up from the Relais. (No Yelp page so just shouting out here!)

Breakfast was included and if there was a weak link it was the coffee machine drinks. Our room was large and had a terrace and a stunning view. The bathroom was very large and well appointed. You feel like you are living in Italian history here. Great service!

Found this spot on Trip Advisor and would like to share it with my fellow Yelpers. We were looking for our hotel which was walking distance from the train station but had a hard time finding it due to lack of street signs. Don't try finding this place at night unless you know where you're going. My boyfriend and I walked around for quite a bit with no luck so we walked back to the train station and were able to get a cab to take us there. Again, it's hard to find at night so cab it instead. Our room was cozy and we were able to sleep well. There was no blow dryer, so make sure to bring your own and an adapter. Unfortunately, I blew out my hair straightener which left me without one for about 3 weeks while traveling throughout Europe (but that's a different story) ha! Just make sure your straightener has dual voltage and you'll be fine. Make sure to have Euros. When we paid, the preferred method of payment was in cash. The owner Rosanna was very sweet and asked how our stay was. Very hospitable. She even offered us something to eat before we headed out. We had to leave to catch our ship, but thanked her for her hospitality.
