Great beach lots of sea life
Tamra S.

I rented three separate condos from Diana through Airbnb...all of them were clean with easy check in. Gaited parking and beach with great views. Haven't had any problems. Seriously a pleasant experience I would definitely recommend...

Stayed in Condo #1300 - what a disappointment. The entire complex is totally neglected and dated. Considering the stay averaged out just over $350 per night, the furniture were cheap and uncomfortable, balcony chairs not nice to sit in, communication with owner was anything but straight-forward. We booked Monday - Friday and left Tuesday (no, the bad weather is NOT the owner's fault, but we did not want to be stuck in this condo for 4 rained-out beach days. This was a trip for my 60th birthday. Also, the gate to the beach near the condo was not functioning. Walking to the next gate across very questionably and rotting decking was not fun. The outdoor shower at the functioning gate did not have a working foot shower to wash off sand.

I rented a condo here in 2018 and loved it so much that i ended up buying one. Yes the building is older and needs some work but I see progress being done. The place is much better now and continues to improve. I travel alone most of the time and I've always felt safe in this gated community. Would definitely recommend for any small family or individuals for short term stays.

We stayed here at a AirBnB. The condo was cute and clean with an ocean view. The worst thing about the condo was the smell of mold or mildew, gross. The complex itself needs lots of work, everything from the paint to the staircase needs a fresh coat of paint. Pictures don't lie. The pavement also needs to be resurfaced. The plus about this place is the location, as it is near major attractions and downtown. The place was not worth what we paid for. I would not recommend it to others unless they fix the place up. I have to agree with G W. who stayed there a week before us.

We got an Airbnb at this condo. I told the lady what the number of the condo was and she told me to go to the last building on the first floor. I did and I found the condo, but the code didn't work. I called and she gave me the code, when we opened the door there were a bunch of baggage already in the room, so we closed the door and called again. This time a guy picked up and I was explaining to him the situation and he cut me off before I could finish. When we FINALLY found our room, it ended up being in the FIRST BUILDING and the LAST FLOOR! The place is worn down and the condo we stayed in had a hole in the wall. On the bright side though the location is great. You can see the USS Lexington from the balcony and the Aquarium is also really close by. And it's beach front. But I will definitely NOT be staying here again.

Truly lovely condo. Easy check-in & fast response from Diana anytime I reached out. We were in walking distance of shops, food & entertainment. We also had private beach access & a walking trail up to the activities down the bay. There is construction going on, but we never heard a thing. I did get a screw in one of my brand new tires, but was able to get it repaired fairly quick & easy at a nearby discount tire. The repair was FREE, fast & took nothing away from our day. The only real negative thing is the broken elevator as the room is on the 3rd floor. My mom is older and not a fan of the stairs at all. However; the establishment has security guards on premises & one came up to us without us even asking and offered to help carry our luggage up to the room! It is true what's been said about the balcony of this place. The melody of the waves in the evening is peaceful, the views at all times of day & in all directions are gorgeous & calming! Take a sunset stroll down to Black Beards for a dozen raw oysters or 2! Best I have EVER had :) Overall great condo, great host & location!

NOT our condo, but in passing-this is what we observed-I notified our owner.

Beach is not kept up in this area but you have access from this condo. You are in a lower end area of CC so be mindful. Rented our condo through the VRBO site and had a descent room. Came across an owner cleaning there's, and they seem to have a big problem -you can zoom for the number for caution. We were away and had no problems or complaints. Our last night of vacation the police were at the pool area when we arrived back from dinner. Two pools-the second pool was finally cleaned and open our last two days of our stay and nice. We were in building 3. For the price and location, quick get away and availability-recommend.

We rented unit 1215. Very small and outdated but clean. The best thing about this place is location. Easy walk to everything and you are right on the beach. Clean beach for the most part. Nice pools although need water fountain or something to cool the water off. They have coffee in the office but charge $1.50... that's not very cool. Lol

Villa Del Sol have this install on their exit gate on the ground it damage and gave us a flat tire that had to be replace

Had aweful experienced on the property not very well kept and properly maintenance..nails on the ground of parking lot ..elevator dirty and hallway walking to our door of our room was musty and smell like mildew. The exit gate slashed and punctured our front tire and gave us a flat that had to be completely replace..immediately notify the front office and property manager Andrea Hernandez all they had me do was filed a incident report without any empathy and no reimbursement for my damaged tire..bad ending to a family vacation ..wasted 5hrs of our time and money to get it fix. Think twice before booking this place if anything happens on their property the upper management be quick to brush you off and act like they don't care not worth the money or inconvenience

Great time at Villa Del Sol!!! We stayed in room 1125 with Ms Elaine as our contact and although the room was very basic, it was clean and the air conditioner was really cold. I've been going to Villa Del Sol for years and the place never lets me down. Some years have been better than others but nothing beats the location and the convenience of being right on the beach. I will most definitely be coming back next year and using Ms Elaine!!! We had a great time and the best part was my kids enjoyed every part!!!!

This place is a dump. Honestly. When I got off the elevator I felt the floor move. It was definitely way angled. Crazy. Rust everywhere. Tetanus shot required for sure. This is honestly three worst place I ever stayed. 21 years in the army I stayed a lot of bad places. When I first came to my room or felt like i was going to die. Seemed like the building was falling apart. On top of all the bad stuff about the place. I walked down the stairs and was stopped by a raccoon. He wasn't moving he told me so. He hissed at me and I think he cursed a couple of times. Something about cookies. Do not stay here. Look at the pictures. The elevator worked going up but not down. Zero stars actually

This is what 400 bucks gets you, a dirty condo

We stayed at the Omni Corpus Christi over Memorial Day weekend, communication by email and text…read morestarted a few days before our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. We mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary, and they surprised us with cheesecake on our special day, which was a very nice touch. The room itself could definitely use some upgrades for the price you pay. We stayed in the Executive Suite on the 6th floor and honestly expected a better view for the cost. The balcony had no chairs and was separated by a wall, leaving only a tiny space to step outside briefly before going back in. The beach view was decent, but I would probably upgrade to a better room next time. The bathroom layout was a bit awkward, with the toilet extremely close to the tub, but that seems more like a builder design issue. Overall, the room was okay. Having a microwave, keurig and fridge was a huge plus since those amenities are not advertised. We also dined at Republic of Texas Bar & Grill, and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the other amenities. The Executive Suite includes two TVs, but they barely worked. They are not smart TVs, and we were unable to cast any of our shows even though it stated we could. We called for assistance, someone came to the room, and we were told someone would follow up once the issue was fixed, but the TVs actually worked worse afterward. It also took forever for them to come back on after we returned from dinner. Since relaxing and watching TV is one of the hotel amenities we enjoy most, I do have to take a star off for that experience. Had the issue been resolved, I would have easily given the hotel 5 stars. I've included pictures to help others choose their room because the photos on the Omni Corpus Christi website are not very helpful.

Upon arrival, we waited several minutes for valet, who appeared distracted and not paying attention. Check-in was equally frustrating--we were told our suite wasn't ready and that we'd receive a text when it was. That never happened. We went to the bar to pass the time and initially found no one around. Eventually, Devin came over and completely turned that part of the experience around--he was apologetic, attentive, and provided excellent service. A great example of how far simple kindness and professionalism can go. After waiting, we went back to the front desk to check on our room, only to find out it had been ready--no notification, no follow-up. The initial front desk associate was nowhere to be found, but thankfully J stepped in and handled things well. She was kind, apologetic, and helpful once we explained the situation. The suite itself had a nice view and was spacious, but it definitely needs updating and was missing a few expected touches. For the price point, we anticipated a more polished experience. Unfortunately, the issues didn't end there. After the concert, we went to the upstairs bar and waited over an hour for a simple burger. During that time, the staff appeared more focused on socializing than serving guests. It was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, unacceptable. Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences we've had at a hotel. While a few individuals (Devin and J) stood out positively, the overall lack of communication, attentiveness, and accountability overshadowed everything. We chose this hotel expecting it to be one of the nicest in Corpus--and it was anything but. I would not recommend staying here and would suggest looking at other options, like the Marriott or elsewhere. This experience has honestly made me reconsider staying at Omni properties in the future.

Anytime we had a question, they were quick to respond and eager to help. The location was also very convenient, close to restaurants and attractions, which made getting around easy. Overall, the hotel is about what you would expect for a mid-tier Hilton property. The front desk issued a physical key and while I got an updated digital one, was still unable to access other areas with my phone. Pool was simple and has a few areas where the tiles are missing, my room overlooked the pool and after 7pm is when it got super busy! Enjoyed that the pool is on the north side of the building so didn't get sun in the afternoon. The room was as expected, large, plenty of counter space and clean. Every night I heard kids running upstairs and could hear other noises through the walls. Also, you can hear the toilet flush in the middle of the night from another room. Not sure which one. Breakfast was ok, wasn't a fan of the set up for the hot items as the case they are in was odd. Food was ok, nothing spectacular but it works. Coffee was my favorite although the cups kept leaking so I had to double up. Overall the location is great and I'd return for that. The lobby is beautifully decorated and the bar is a total vibe. They also have a great happy hour. This area is actually prefect because it's conveniently located near tons of restaurants and shopping. The hotel is clean, I could smell the cleanliness as I entered the door. The room was also clean I felt comfortable enough to walk about the room in my socks. The bathroom was spotless as well. The floor were freshly mopped. Which is a major plus for me because as stated before everyone's definition of clean isn't the same. The AC unit is obnoxiously loud. Imagine being so noisy and still not work. It didn't heat nor cool the room and refused to go off. Talking about barely getting rest and I am in town for a work trip go figure. But the front desk staff did offer to switch my room but I only had one more night so I didn't want to waste a room. The water pressure in the sink is extremely low. The toilet has to be flushed twice to get it to do anything remotely close actually flushing. The mattress is hard as a rock and the pillows went completely flat once I rested my head upon one. The parking is limited for such a large hotel but it didn't really seem to affect my stay. But on a holiday or busy weekend I can see how that can be a problem.
