I was disappointed in my stay. We came in for a funeral. I only stay at Mariotts because of their quality if service and cleanliness, however this place was below par. There were no complimentary bottle waters and when requested front desk told me sometimes you have some and sometimes we don't. I ask for a bottle water to take medication and she said I need to check in a customer and then I'll go to the back to check. There was no coffee pot either in the room that was $300 a night. The room was a bit humid the ac never cooled. The bathroom still had the legs of insects and the shower door had paint on it. Mariott is known for their excellence in first class service and presentation and this wad sloppy for being a Mariott.

My husband and I stayed a few nights earlier this month and had a stunning view of the bay in room 505. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the staff. The hotel itself was impeccably clean and spotless. Breakfast every morning had tons of options. Being horribly gluten intolerant, they had several food items for me a eggs, bacon, potatoes, and Udi's muffins one of the days. The only reason I'm not giving a full five stars is housekeeping. It's literally the only negative experience we had. I asked for housekeeping to do a sweep, and we our stay went on, the service got worse. One of the days, we asked for fresh towels and for them to do a sweep. They literally left the pile on the bathroom floor and placed the towels on the TV stand. I get Covid protocols, but every other hotel (and other Marriott properties) I've stayed at have provided better housekeeping. Besides that, the hotel is across the street from the bay, and there are local beaches if you don't want to drive to Padre Island. It's also close to lots of nightlife and local places with amazing seafood. Despite our issues with housekeeping, we'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

My friend and I went to Corpus Christi last weekend And suggested Residence Inn because it was new and located in Downtown. We were going to a fundraiser event at the Lexington and wanted to be able to commute via Uber easily. This hotel was in the perfect location and everything was great. The rooms were clean, spacious, and ready when we arrived. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. I was shocked to see the stove and dishes provided in the room, too bad I didn't utilize these amenities. I loved the size of the shower and overall had a great experience. We walked past the pool which looked beautiful and we did wake up Sunday and use the gym on site. They had treadmills, free weights, medicine balls and cleaning supplies. Towels were plentiful and it was a good gym for your basic workouts. When returning to Corpus, I will definitely stay here again. They also provided a complementary breakfast however I didn't take advantage of it because I had brunch plans.

Clean Room (the housekeeping department is not part of the problem) Shabby stained carpet, no patio furniture, balcony, air conditioner and trim degrading. The pool area also needs a makeover and the bar was blasting really loud music on a weekday evening trying to grasp of a 'club' atmosphere that it just doesn't have. The location is nice, and I think maybe if it was a little less expensive I wouldn't feel so taken advantage of although our room did come with a coupon for Pete's coffee in the lobby and that definitely helped All in all, I'm not sure there is a better choice in the area however I hate to see once lovely places falling apart and I do hope that this gets an update.

Apparently, the kids rented the hotel lobby to have dinner & hang out. Totally fine, but we had to drive around the cramped parking lot for 20 mins of the hotel which we PAID FOR PARKING. No compensation for the hotel guest unless you made a fuss. I fussed, but what about other guest?? The view. Meh. We were 4th floor bay view room, but we had the lower decks roof in the way. See pic attached. It was meh & the Hilton honors app said nothing about a roof being in the way. We paid extra for the view. I'd rather have had the parking lot view. Maybe at least I'd see the drama of ppl finding a space. The water machine & no bugs in sight. The water machine by the ice maker is ice cold, so refreshing! The bug part is another star bc its not a roach hotel. Being right in the water, bugs always find their way in, but this hotel had it under control. I'll give them 2 stars instead of a deserved 1. We didn't pay for breakfast. Which is an insane $40 per person per day. Also, be ready to pay $150 in incidental which is refundable after check out. Just a heads up.

Finding the property was a tad confusing as it does connect with the mall parking and sorta sits off to the side. Upon arrival did the digital check in so was able to go straight to the room. The front desk issued a physical key and while I got an updated digital one, was still unable to access other areas with my phone. Pool was simple and has a few areas where the tiles are missing, my room overlooked the pool and after 7pm is when it got super busy! Enjoyed that the pool is on the north side of the building so didn't get sun in the afternoon. The room was as expected, large, plenty of counter space and clean. Every night I heard kids running upstairs and could hear other noises through the walls. Also, you can hear the toilet flush in the middle of the night from another room. Not sure which one. Breakfast was ok, wasn't a fan of the set up for the hot items as the case they are in was odd. Food was ok, nothing spectacular but it works. Coffee was my favorite although the cups kept leaking so I had to double up. Overall the location is great and I'd return for that. So we change rooms and again had to ask for 2 keys for 2 people. We get to the 2nd room and 1 key did not work, so we had to go back and that about killed her to have to give us another one. Every time we walked through the lobby the person working the front was sitting in the lounge on their phone. One guy was in the lobby on his phone arguing with his wife. The 1bartender we interacted with was very nice and helpful. Another bartender sat in a golf cart playing on her phone outside. There was a political event that was going on one evening in the lobby and we couldn't even get through the people to get to our room and we did not see anyone from the hotel trying to keep a walkway clear for guests. There is no ice machine on the 1st floor so you have to go upstairs or the bartender will give you some if someone is there. You can only enter through the front door. The room never did get very cold and this is July so it's hot. There is a bench on top of the AC, so the air does not shoot up, it is blocked. They painted all the walls white since the last time I was here and the rooms are very baron and depressing. The bedding on the bed is too heavy, especially when the AC does not cool the room. The refrigerator is too small with no freezer section. The shower has no pressure. When someone above us flushed the toilet it sounded like the ceiling would cave in. La La Land was a gorgeous home and we would definitely stay at this unit again. Unfortunately, our most recent stay included several service and maintenance issues that impacted the experience. While the staff was courteous, response times were challenging when problems arose. The most significant issue occurred on our final night when multiple fire alarms sounded in our unit for an extended period of time while we were traveling with an infant and toddler. Because maintenance was not immediately available on-site, it took quite some time to resolve the situation. I truly believe our experience would have been very different had maintenance personnel been available on the property to respond more quickly to urgent issues. For a resort of this size and caliber, having faster on-site maintenance support would greatly improve the guest experience and help prevent minor issues from becoming major disruptions. My family owned a home here for over 10 years, and honestly, after this experience, I'm relieved we no longer do. It's disgusting to see how loyal residents and vacationers are treated now. Cinnamon Shore seems to think they can do whatever they want and treat people like second-class citizens. To make matters worse, the house we stayed in had cockroaches, which was already unacceptable considering the cost of staying here. Larry and Juan from courtesy patrol then approached and harassed my family over an investigation that none of us were involved in. During the interaction, they were taking photos of me and my family, which made us extremely uncomfortable. When I confronted them about it, Larry responded with, "You're not that sweet, sweetheart," before they became even more disrespectful and unprofessional, eventually calling me and my sister "f***ing ret*rds." What makes this even more disturbing is that I have the entire interaction recorded. I have special needs family members, so hearing that kind of language was beyond offensive and unacceptable. No guest, resident, or homeowner should ever be treated this way, especially by staff or security personnel who are supposed to make people feel safe. After being a loyal guest and homeowner family since 2009, I am honestly shocked and disgusted by the level of harassment, disrespect, and overall experience my family had.
