We stayed here at the last minute when we discovered that my favorite Bath hotel had been booked. We were not pleased with the price, but we did receive great hospitality for that price.
The owners are Sicilian immigrants. Since I am quite familiar with Sicilians, and their warm nature, I knew we would be in for a nice stay.
The location is approximately a 20 minute walk to the city's center. It is a semi detached home in a quaint neighborhood. The grounds are well kept with beautiful blooming flowers, and a clean and warm environment. The room was immaculate, and the best part was that the bed was the non standard UK size: it was larger! Yeah!
The English breakfast was delicious as well.
The only negative was that we came in quite late, and the hallway was dark so we couldn't read the door to make sure we were entering the right room. I tried switching on a hall light and discovered that I had actually set off the fire alarm! At 12:30 in the morning. We also discovered that the owners bedroom was right next to ours, and we were afraid to make another sound throughout the night. We were in room 2, and the owners sleep in room 1, so if you plan to come in late at night, I suggest a room above room 2. read more
