It wasn't busy when we arrived, the service was prompt and friendly. We shared the Mediterranean salad, it was nicely composed and super flavourful. My wife ordered the carbonara and I ordered and pizza - both were very, very good, and with a little left over for breakfast which is always a treat. We also ordered the dessert of the day special (why not, it was our 3rd dessert of the day), lemon meringue tart, it was good but at the same caliber of the rest of the meal. On this trip we had only only night in Paris, a layover between Barcelona and Amsterdam by train…read more  We took advantage of our one night to walk the city and find this wonderful out of the way and inexpensive restaurant.  We were dining early so were enjoying our meal as the place began to fill up.  The service was excellent and the management specifically chose wait staff that could speak our languages (Spanish or English).  We appreciate that thoughtful gesture to our comfort.  We ordered the antipasto plate which was excellent, with a good variety of cheese meats and peppers.  We followed this with ravioli; mine was salmon and my wife chose a sampler plate of the 5 or 6 different kinds of ravioli they serve.  Both had cream sauces and both were excellent.  We chose an excellent light tiramisu for dessert.  Including wine, coffee, and tea our bill was only 60 Euros.  A really excellent meal for a modest price.  But best of all was the ambiance and the kindness of all the staff.  After a long day on the train, it was a balm to body and spirit.

The chef (Jean-Philippe) is French and prepares some mean main courses with fresh house-made pasta (I beg you, try the Ravioli alla Crema or the Lasagna and weep) or meat (try the Filetto di Manzo with Gorgonzola) while the owner & pizzaiolo master (Pino) and the pizzaiolo (Mario) blows your mind with either traditional or creative takes on the Napolitan pizza. Try your best to keep some space for dessert. The Lemon Meringue pie is one of the best I've ever had (not too bitter, very different from a Key Lime). The Panna Cotta with berries is even better. If you like Cannoli, try it out too, while it's not really my thing I've heard great things from amateurs. Don't hurry and grab a Martini Bianco on ice to start the meal, they'll bring you Olives and delicious house made chips so you can procrastinate on what to eat.
