We did have some issues with parking, that garage is tiny so park early and make sure you have a small car or park elsewhere. The hotel staff is great, very accommodating! We booked a room at Hotel Due Leoni almost last-minute to visit some friends in Sacile and what a great accomodation it proved to be! The hotel furnishings are a bit outdated but this actually adds to its charme. I was very surprised to find a perfectly working vintage green SIP telephone on my nightstand- it was a sweet and nostalgic reminder of my youth. The rooms are very spacious with modern bathrooms and all the necessary amenities. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Piazza del Popolo and surrounded by beautiful Venetian-style buildings. An underground parking is available but it does require very skilled drivers to navigate the narrow parking slots. From the underground garage, an elevator takes you directly to the lobby and/or the rooms. The check-in process was fast and smooth with very professional and courteous staff. What really made a difference for us were the highest cleaning standards of the hotel: every surface was sparkling clean with nary a grain of dust to be found, all courtesy of their cleaning lady (I think her name was Elda and she came from Matera?) . Our room had a view on the Livenza River and the church. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend taking some noise-cancelling buds to protect your ears since the bells of the nearby church ring at every hour- it did not bother us. The breakfast buffet is deliciously scrumptious with plenty of variety. We would gladly stay here again.

The concierge was extremely hospitable and facilitated a brilliant local supper reservation. Particularly considering the extremely reasonable room rate it is rather Impossible to talk this place up too much- although finding it required some rather robust conversations with our GPS! I cannot imagine (nor do I wish to know) anyone who wouldn't be enchanted and impressed by everything about Duca di Dolle - I am entirely smitten! A magic starting point for your exploration of the prosecco road. 110% recommended!

As an Expedia Gold level member and frequent user for 17 years, this is my first negative review…read more The day before we arrived, we received an email that offered us appetizers and 2-3 drinks for 35€ at 7pm on a Thursday. Since we arranged for dinner reservations months before, we declined. We had booked this rural vineyard for its peaceful location. When we returned from dinner on Thursday, there was no parking at the hotel and we had to park far away in a dark area in the vineyard. The music was very loud outside and in our rooms. The hotel is very small and usually 3 cars in the parking lot. There had to be 100 people there with the majority not overnight guests. It was like trying to sleep inside a nightclub. With the description in the email we assumed all would be complete by 10pm. By 11pm, we went to ask when the INCREDIBLY loud music would end and we were told midnight. This was really disappointing since we were leaving the next day and we got very little sleep. The next morning, several guests were complaining about how late the loud music went. We needed to leave at 9am for the airport and found that no one could check us out until 10am. This is also very unusual to have no one at the hotel who can provide service. Since we had to leave, I asked the person working the buffet to please have the front desk call me asap to settle the bill. I asked for a discount for only the one bad night and received rude reply and they ran my card for the full amount. Please beware!!!

I'll…read morewrite a full review separately for their wedding services, but the tl;dr is that the staff were amazing and really went above and beyond our expectations and my now-husband and I (and all our guests!) had a wonderful experience overall. Brunella and Carlo as leads worked very well with our wedding planner and the whole day went by very smoothly, even with pending rain and some last minute changes/requests. The stay at the hotel itself was so lovely as well. In summary - Pros: - Easy check-in process - able to park right up at the front (temporarily) and unload luggage - Friendly, helpful staff - most of them (all of the front desk and restaurant staff though) speak English - Great room (alcova) with lots of light and lots of space for the wedding party to get ready - Strong wifi in common areas, such as the reception area and lounge - Lots of options at breakfast - hot/cold drinks, continental food items, and hot food such as eggs and bacon - La Fucina restaurant, Donatello Bar, museums, and other areas are fun to explore and hang out in - 24h funicular (cable car) - Lovely spa amenities, easy to book Cons (ish): - The room wasn't fully cleaned until the last day - only the bed was made and the bathroom was cleaned, but the trash bag placed by the door wasn't removed - The room was right below Sansovino Restaurant and so there was lot of noise when tables/chairs were being moved, especially early in the morning - Wifi in the room wasn't usable unless standing next to the door or window - Gelateria was always closed I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I've already stayed at Castelbrando more than once when I was in the area, and I'm very much looking forward to staying here again! :)

The place is impressive, everything is nice from the hotel to the restaurants and the bars. Amazing people working there. There you can also find 2 restaurants : one gastro really good of course and one more informal with pizzas and italian food. You have also museums, parcs, walking path, theatre and during the summer : ice cream bar. And did told you about the SPA? Well, just come and have a look, you will not be dissapointed.

(The remainder of our baggage had been routed here, so it was a nice bonus to wear something new after 8 days on the trail.) The LOCATION was by far the best feature - In the center of old town, between the cathedral and the main square, and with scores of restaurants & shops a short walking distance away. It was also a 10-minute walk from the bus and train stations, both of which we used. (A bus from the last trailhead; a train to Venice the last morning). As it turns out, there wasn't much choice, since there weren't many hotels in this area. As for the rooms, mine was small and dark, despite being on the top floor. The hotel was obviously older, with several generations of updates and renovations under the surface. But...It still felt luxurious to have a private room, private shower, and air conditioning after so many days of sharing bathrooms and bunks. The staff was friendly; the front desk guy seemed to be managing almost everything. He was very patient when I called to say the AC unit in my room wasn't working - It turned out there were two controllers, and the one on the wall wasn't functional (A sign would have been nice) Breakfast was very OK. Not quite as good as some of the spreads we had in the mountains, but good enough to keep us going for a few hours. Overall we had a decent stay here. Despite my momentary perception of relative luxury, I must put my "realism glasses" back on to rate the place - it felt about average for an Italian hotel.
