Location: We drove in from the Malaga airport to Villa Alicia guest house. Google maps certainly helped with navigating through the small streets. However, be aware that the GPS doesn't quite detect small turns accurately. Malaga's major attractions are all least about 10-15 min walk away.
Parking: right outside the Villa Alicia, there is street parking demarcated by white dotted lines. Parking is free there. Obviously practise your parallel parking.
Room: our room was on the top floor. There is no elevator in the building. You will need to climb a few steps on the stairs to reach from street level to reception. Then for us, another 3 flights of stairs to reach our room. The room had an in suite shower and toilet with a hand soap dispenser. Unfortunately for us, the lock on the door was a bit messed up you have yo use a key to open and close the lock.
In room amenities: there was a kettle, 2 mugs and spoons, tea bags that did not have an outer packaging, instant nestle coffee, and a mini fridge.
Shower: Very strong water pressure with adequate heat. There was no 'running out of hot water' issue that is sometime typical with European guest houses.
Air conditioning: you have to pay 3 or 4 EUR (depending on the room) to get a card to activate the air conditioner. If you pay it when you are paying for the room, it can go on the credit card, otherwise, cash only.
Breakfast: is not free and it's cash only, but I saw a good selection of simple continental options. read more
