Breakfast was so yummy. we accidentally ordered more than we would normally eat by not specifying quantity but we at it all. Then you have a beautiful walk into Frigiliana which is about 20 minutes by foot. You can walk to the beach as well. We didn't have a car and walked everywhere. But if you want to drive into the mountains they have a parking space for cars. The rooms are very big and bathroom even bigger. And the most important for me is feather pillows. I can't sleep on bricks like most hotels in Spain. The comfy bed and pillows were such a bonus you don't usually get even in the most expensive rooms. But here the bed and pillows are super comfy. They don't have many guests staying at one time since it's a small hotel. So the pool will never be crowded. In fact i never saw anyone else in the pool. And if you worry about the pandemic, this is the type of place to stay since there aren't crowds of people like a big hotel. You really don't come into close contact with anyone. The owners are terrific! Super friendly. Not only do I want to come back, but I want to live there forever. he he. We really enjoyed our stay. You can get there via bus & taxi. Or you can use a bus direct to the place. Since there was 2 of us I found it just as cheap to take a taxi. So it was pretty easy to get to. Also fast wifi for those who need to work.

However, once you are on the complex, the main road is not noticeable at all. The hotel is set out like a typical Andalusian village and is lovely, with lots of flowers and plants all around. It's extremely well kept and everything is spotless. Rooms are spacious and clean with good sized bathroom. The restaurant is excellent, and the food is high quality with plenty of choice. Every other night is a theme night, such as Italian, Mexican etc and a lot of effort is put in. Just across the road is the bar and pool and this is also where the entertainment takes place. This is mainly a French hotel, so if you want to go somewhere with lots of English people then it's not for you! Brilliant place for a holiday.

I did wander over to Puente Romano and Marbella Club for an even more upscale vibe that was only a 10-12 minute taxi ride away. Puerto Banus is another 5-10 minutes and you can catch a ferry boat to there from a marina promenade that is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is right by the ocean, and our room opened to a balcony overseeing the beach. So needless to say, the view was AMAZING. The balcony is awesome to sit and relax and enjoy a drink. And the room is so comfortable and has very good amenities. The room features are controlled via a smartphone that can also be taken out and used for internet and navigation if needed. That was a pretty nifty thing to have around, so I thought it was cool. The shower is awesome and the water pressure is great. The toiletries are good and that's all I need to say about that. I also experienced the SPA. I had a deep tissue massage, and although it wasn't that deep, it was so relaxing and refreshing. You also get a pass to use the SPA facilities for the day, but I ended up not using that... since I wanted to be by the beach instead. There's hotel-only beach seating area with service staff available for food and drinks. We tried some appetizers and they were awesome. We also ate at the hotel restaurant on beach level. There was live music, which was awesome... although the sound wasn't really balanced, so we could barely hear the singer while we were able to hear the music just fine. The staff are super friendly. Happy to help, take pictures, provide service, whatever you need. The hotel also has bicycles available for use for the day which is great for riding along the beach. We'll definitely come back to this place when we revisit.

There is also very little nearby but Malaga is only a few mins away by taxi. I had the top floor room with a huge bathroom and a huge balcony overlooking the ocean. I could have happily spent a day just laying on the balcony in the sunshine and take it all in. The food here is also quite ok and the breakfast was not included. This is quite unusual for hotels in the area. It's €10 for breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked. The room rates are ok as well. I would come here again as it's nice and quiet with stunning Harbour views. Staff are very friendly and helpful and food is generally good. I was told it's a popular wedding venue for locals.

It's in a great location, right by the center and the harbor. There are tons of restaurants and shopping around. Definitely doesn't have the old feel of European history like the other cities we've visited, but still beautiful. Also, no parking, but there are a few lots close by. We rented a car so we had to park our car, but the hotel will give you a stamp for a small discount for a lot nearby. Honestly, you can just leave your car for a day or two and you can walk everywhere. The airport is also about 15 mins away, which makes it so convenient. Anyway, the front desk is very helpful and I would love to stay here again when I'm back!

I thought since I didn't go to Miami or Ibiza that I would get the typical awesome spanish service but that was not the case. My feeling is that they are just anti American, which is unfortunate. It seemed other customers were having a great time. Of course I can't categorize the entire staff but the 3 people I had interactions with I felt like I was an inconvenience. Also when I muscled thru my 11 € Gin and Tonics, which they poured very light. They didn't do the typical pour where they respect and acknowledge you, they just poured some weak sauce and walked away. I poured my own Tonic, every time. Sometimes they came back to check on me. This was the ambiance I was experiencing the entire time I was on the roof. This and loud club music. The only reason I added 2 stars to the 2 star is because the front staff and room staff are amazing. So nice and warm. I felt so great checking in, like "they got me". Honestly I wish I never went to the roof so I would have just been left with my first perception. There are plenty of places all around the hotel that are the typical awesome Spanish love and come eat & party with me type of places you don't need this place. Scene 2- I am getting some love like I mean something now. More to come. Ok maybe I over reacted, tons more love coming to the big guy. I am going to add some additional comments when this us done. Upon arrival, security opened the door. I was greeted by the staff. They upgraded me to a port view room. To be honest, there were great views in any direction around the hotel. My room was a little smaller than I had expected but big enough to be comfortable. It was very clean and fresh smelling. The bathroom is mostly marble/stone. It could use some caulk refreshing. Overall, the room was great. There is lobby and rooftop bar and restaurant. The staff there were great as well. The hotel recognized by birthday and sent a card, cake, balloon, and wine to my room. What a pleasant surprise. That is going above and beyond and I appreciated the effort on their part. At night, the pool area turns into a roof top club with live music. Guaranteed to have a good time. I would definitely recommend staying at this property if you ever find yourself in Málaga Spain.
