On our first attempt we found the place closed, but the next evening it was open and hub of activity, The place was packed too, we were fortunate to get a table.
The place is a little dark, but there is plenty of atmospheric lighting, it really has a lovely feel to the place.
For a starter we shared the Piri piri prawns, which were perfectly cooked and delicious.
For a main course I had the Chicken skewers, with peanut sauce, pineapple and banana. These were lovely and tasty. My hubby had the rabbit, which he really enjoyed.
We accompanied the food with excellent sangria. Perfect holiday drink.
The staff deserve special mention. So polite, but extremely friendly with it.
Our dinner here at Vila Velha was one of the best we had on our holiday to Portugal. read more
