My wife needed Invisalign, and we chose to pay our portion upfront to receive a discount -- trusting the practice to handle billing properly. Phoenixville Dental was supposed to file two insurance claims. The first was filed and paid without issue. The second, however, appeared to be filed incorrectly and was denied. Rather than investigating the denial with the insurance company, the Office Manager billed us directly and threatened to send the balance to collections -- despite our spotless payment history and her inability to explain why the claim was denied. After lengthy back and forth, she asked us to pay out of pocket temporarily while she re-filed the claim. We agreed, trusting her. That was a mistake. She later claimed the claim had been filed, but offered no proof, and it did not appear on our insurance portal. After repeated follow-ups, she finally sent us a copy -- and the lack of detail on the claim was striking. It was denied again. To make matters worse, treatment was never completed. The practice was sold to a new doctor who showed some initial willingness to continue, but eventually informed us he hadn't been paid for the work and therefore could not proceed. We lost money, time, and still didn't receive the care we paid for. We would not recommend this practice.

I had a cleaning done by excellent hygienist. She was apologetic for having to work so hard on my teeth but honestly no one had done such a thorough job before. I had my prior X-rays sent over and they were able to upload it without issue. Dr Paola was nice and professional. I was able to qualify for their smile program for free teeth whitening. I had cleaning every 6 months or a yearly, I had X-rays when they said I was due. No one said I had a cavity or any issue with my teeth. In 2026 I was there for a routine cleaning and when the dentist came in, he said I needed to replace that same crown. I asked him why? it's not that old? He said it's not fitting correctly. I called the office and asked them to send me the x-rays. I told her my problem and she suggested I have a consultation with the owner, which I did a couple days later after that cleaning. He said I have a cavity under that crown. I asked why didn't your dentist tell me that, I was just here a couple days ago. He said he will talk to him. I question if I have a cavity there, I really do! The office called me and said the the owner would discount a price of a new crown and charge $420. He did not take responsibility that the crown was not put in properly in 2023. It was nothing I did or didn't do. When I got home I spoke to my husband, who is a retired dentist, he looked at the x-rays and said if I have a cavity there it is likely due to the open margin of the crown. He said it was not seated correctly. My insurance will not pay for a crown that is 3 years old. I would not go back to that office now even he said he will replace it at no charge. One doc said nothing about a cavity, two days later another doc said I have a cavity!! I lost my trust in them. I rather pay elsewhere and have it done correctly. They lost me and my uncle as patients.

The receptionist set a date for my appointment and when I called to confirm that the timing of the appointment would align with my insurance, the office CONFIRMED that it would and so I went for my appointment. Yet afterwards, I was sent a bill as the appointment was actually scheduled too early. I would never go for the apppointment if I knew it conflicted with my insurance yet I was told before coming in that the appointment would not be a problem. The office actually agreed that it was their fault and the mistake of the receptionist but instead of offering any solution or compromise, they told me I would just have to pay the full bill for an appointment that was a result of THEIR mistake. I wouldn't trust a place that has such a poor management of issues that THEY caused. They have lost a long-term customer here and I will not be recommending this office to anyone else.

I chose this clinic only because they had the earliest available appointment. At first, the nurse was kind and professional and took X-rays. However, when the dentist Asad Sadiq came in and reviewed the X-rays, the experience became very disappointing. He began working on a different tooth that I never complained about. I clearly explained which teeth were hurting and asked him to work on those. At one point, he asked me when the pain was at its worst, and I told him that it increases when I eat or drink. His response was shockingly unprofessional--he said, "Then don't eat or drink, just fast." After he finished, I asked which tooth he had worked on, and he replied, "the wrong one." I was shocked by this response and asked why he hadn't explained anything to me beforehand. Instead of apologizing or clarifying, he became very rude and aggressive, called me a liar, and accused me of lying about what was discussed. I calmly asked him to speak respectfully, but he continued with the same rude attitude until I raised my voice. Eventually, the nurses came in and asked me to leave the clinic. In the end, the teeth that were actually causing me pain were never treated, and he worked on a tooth that wasn't bothering me at all. This was a very unprofessional and upsetting experience, and I would not recommend this dentist based on how I was treated and how poorly the situation was handled.

Sorry, Dr. Newman, I can't come back there if that is how I am treated. Dr Sem said that she wouldn't allow me to be "under her care" if I didn't get xrays but I was already under the care of Dr. Newman. What a racket!
