Very interesting to learn about the history of the brewery and play/interact with the displays at your own pace with your group time. Afterwards, you can visit the gift shop, the hall of beer, and taproom + stables. The horses were gorgeous and they're working, where you might catch them pulling a wagon around. It is an outdoor museums that showcases life in Sweden hundreds of years ago. They have a number of historical buildings, including one that is the oldest in the area. Each building is either furnished with period items or it is a museum with a theme such as printing presses. We enjoyed our short time here and would recommend this to others who like historical museums.

For the purposes of tourists, only the royal section related to the monarchy is open for exploration. The ticket that you purchase depends on how many parts of the royal section you wish to visit: 1) Reception room - where the Queens holds meetings 2) Royal Stables - where the horses and carriages are held 3) Royal Kitchen - where the meals are prepared 4) Ruins - the ruins underneath the castle If you have more time, you can see all of them. For me, the best part was easily the Reception area, where you will see many rooms constructed with very colorful and exquisite architecture and filled with luxurious paintings, furniture, and tapestries. This area is so fancy they actually make all visitors wear blue shoe covers to protect the floors. It is also worth it to go up the tower (free entry) where you get amazing views of the city.

Christiansborg Palace is actually pretty wild -- it's the only place in the world where the government, the prime minister, and the Supreme Court all work in the same building. And under it, there are literal castle ruins from like the 1100s that you can walk through. Plus, the Danish royal family still uses parts of it for fancy events, so it's kind of like government offices + ancient history + royalty all stacked in one spot. Funny story. There's this extremely long dining table (see pics). You're not supposed to sit there but the tour guide said a family sat there to eat lunch one time.

We…read more walked the city, took a bike tour and spent the last day on a food tour all of which Kristen guided in his fun loving and knowledgeable way. He is versed in Danish history and shared so many interesting insights into both the history and culture. The food tour was completely unique and we were able to share so many off the beat and track food venues. He has a great sense of humor and it was terrific learning about him and his family as we toured. The time flew by and we only wished we could have spent one more day as there is so much to see in Copenhagen. This was one of the best tours we have ever had in Europe all thanks to Kristen. His enthusiasm, energy and spirit made every day eventful and fun!

Larger than I expected, lots of historical info along the route underground, an interesting, kinda creepy setting...albeit slightly claustrophobic. It didn't take long to tour, I'm estimating we were probably down there for 30-45 minutes maybe, granted although we wandered the entire path we didn't stop to read every display.

Two castles, a cathedral and the Viking museum.. it was a long day, but I wouldn't change anything. I'm just glad Hamlet was doing the driving! Did I mention that the actual Shakespeare play, Hamlet, is presumably set in Kronborg Castle? Our trip was timed for us to see part of the play - the final scene, the sword fight between Hamlet and Laertes, was in the grand ballroom!! So fun! Also, our guide was happy to change my drop-off place to accommodate my plans.
