This summer we had replacement windows installed and I called Steve to see if he thought we could use the existing blind. He counseled that often the openings were slightly reduced and we would have to check when installation was finished. We found he was correct, the blind was now too wide, and he gave us a recommendation of a company that could cut down the cellular bottom up/top down blind to fit the smaller opening. We were very happy with this solution and appreciate his helpfulness and knowledge about how to re-purpose our blind. I would definitely use Steve and Budget Blinds again. Julie C.

I'm having some windows replaced and contacted Budget Blinds to get a bid for new shades/blinds. I explained I wanted to get everything decided so the shades could be ordered and installed as soon as possible after the windows went in. They refused to even do a consult until after new windows were fully installed, would not even provide a general initial estimate via email when I said I'd be willing to send the measurements myself and was clear I understood the price could change slightly if the window measurements changed after install. I won't do business with vendors who aren't eager to earn it.

Our experience with Aero started out great, but ultimately turned into an incredibly frustrating,…read moreexpensive mistake. During our consultation, the sales rep sold us on the Hunter Douglas "Light Lock" blackout blinds for our two kids' bedrooms. She managed expectations well, noting they wouldn't be 100% pitch black but would be a massive upgrade from our basic $200 Home Depot blinds we installed ourselves. Based on that promise, we invested over $2,000. The installation process was a total disaster. It took three separate appointments just to get them up. The first two times they arrived with zero knowledge of how to install the product. The third time he arrived, he admitted he had never put these exact blinds in before and actually suggested using double-sided tape at one point. Now that they are finally up, the performance is terrible--they let in a ton of light and aren't at all we had hoped for. When we reached out with photos/videos to check if they were even installed correctly, it took days to get a generic response telling us everything looks okay. I requested a call from a manager days ago and have been completely ignored. For a premium $2k+ price tag for 4 windows, the product, installation quality, and customer service have been completely unacceptable. Save your money and look elsewhere.

I honestly viewed it as due diligence more than anything. But Sally really impressed us. She made good suggestions, listened to our desires and was quick to help us zero in on the types of things we were looking for (and not waste time looking at things we didn't want). It was clear to me she had many years of experience working in this field. In the end, her bid for our job came in just sightly higher than the quote we got from Costco, and the difference was so negligible that it was a wash for me. We liked the options Sally had slightly better, and we honestly just liked Sally a lot more than the sales guy from the Costco vendor. We also were super impressed with the gentleman who came to install the blinds. Tony, I think. I laughed in disbelieve when he told me it would take an hour but it was pretty close. He was a total pro, and he knew exactly what he was doing. I appreciated that he noticed that the valence wasn't 100% perfect and so he had them order a replacement that was 100% perfect. The attention to detail was great, and we were very pleased with that. In addition, the blinds look GREAT. They look like they were custom-stained to match our room and they were cut perfectly for the space. We could not ask for better and it's improved our room tremendously. For the first few days I didn't even want to leave the livingroom. I just wanted to sit there and stare at my pretty window. Thanks, Sally!
