Where do i even begin? I'm very disappointed. This company has to be the single worst security company that I ever had the displeasure of applying for and getting hired by. They reached out to me on Indeed and I did a video interview, seemed fine at first and very promising. I was gonna use this company as my second job, but it quickly went downhill very fast. I told them a million times that I had another job and I needed this second job at Vigilant Private Security for some extra income. They agreed to hire me and understood my situation, which I thought. I was supposed to get 4 days like my other job, but when I told them that the schedule didn't align with my main job, they immediately cut my hours from 4 to 2 days. So I still agreed to work those two days, but I only ever worked one day with this company. It was because the guy in charge of the post is a very mean, rude, uncaring, unorganized, short tempered, and unfair for his role as an OPS manager. He yelled at me multiple times for mistakes that were out of my control. I wasn't trained long enough and this was only my first day. He didn't care that I wasn't trained properly and he told the company for me to not come in. I was just removed from the schedule and I ever only worked one day here. I even sacrificed a day of work from my other job just so I could get poorly trained for half a week. I was at risk calling off that day to work at my other job. This company gave me so many promises but all of them were broken. This management is horrible, I can't get a hold of anybody when asking about my pay and my schedule changes, I have never been so disappointed in my life by such a horribly put together company. They don't value it's employees, they only value in expanding there empire. Plus the starting pay is not enough to feed my family. If anyone is starting out in the security business and wants to work in it. For your mental health and financial stability, do not work here. This company has almost ruined my life. This company should be bought out by a bigger company or change it's management because it is pretty clear these people didn't know how to run a company and care it's employees who are the backbone of this company. Vigilant Private Security, I hope you learn from this experience, but you probably won't. Sayonara and I regret having to know this company ever. As I post this review, it has been one month since I only worked once with them, they said they would call me for work but it has been three weeks. If you are new to the security guard field, for your sanity and understanding, please don't work here. If you wanna work somewhere where you will always have work, I recommend Inter Con Security or Allied Universal Private Security, those places I mentioned may not be perfect, but at least they give you work and don't give you conflicting schedules. read more
