We hired View Crew Home Services to seal our brand new patio and front walkway, and it was honestly one of the worst decisions we've made as homeowners.
In 2024, we invested in redoing our patio and walkway using polymeric sand, and the results were beautiful. Wanting to protect that investment, we brought in this company to professionally seal the surface. Unfortunately, the outcome was the complete opposite of what we expected.
Immediately after the job was completed in June 2024, we noticed the sealant was not drying properly. It left a visible residue on the pavers, clumped in areas, and even sealed in debris. The finish looked uneven and sloppy--nothing like a professionally sealed patio should.
We raised our concerns right away, and while they acknowledged that something looked off, their solution made things worse. They power washed the patio to remove the product, which ended up stripping out sections of the polymeric sand. We then had to purchase additional material just to have them attempt to fix the damage.
On top of that, they were unable to fully remove the existing polymeric sand in many areas, yet proceeded to install new sand over the old. Any reputable polymeric sand manufacturer will tell you this is not a proper installation method--you cannot bind new sand to old sand. This shortcut compromises the integrity and longevity of the entire patio.
Now, only two years later, our patio has:
Uneven and patchy grout
Missing sections of polymeric sand
An inconsistent, poor-quality finish
Overall damage that requires a full redo
What was once a beautiful, brand new patio is now in worse condition than before they touched it.
