The top 3 floors of The Prudential Building has been remodeled and open for "viewing" the entire city of Boston. Not only is there an outdoor viewing area, an indoor viewing area but one floor has a restaurant, and rooms with a model city with all the landmarks, buildings showing the city in all seasons, and in the round videos of famous landmarks. Included with our ticket was a $12 credit that can be used in the gift shop or the bar on 52nd floor. We enjoyed a cocktail and the view. There is no time limit on how long you can stay. There is a lot to see. There are also several areas where you scan your ticket and you can take your picture or it makes a video. When you receive your pictures via email the effects show you at the top of The Prudential both as your actual picture fading out to show you from the top- outside. Fun! Take your time. I suggest you pick a clear day, beautiful sunset or clear night (or all 3) and visit The View. read more

Excellent time last night at the stratus bar. Very experienced bartenders with great personalities. Joanne was excellent she went above and beyond explaining to us how to use our ticket to take photos and to see all the attractions (we would have missed it all if she didn't tell us about it) so we are greatful to her. That's great customer service right there! View Boston is the best new addition to the city! This was my first time (went a few times years ago when the space used to be a restaurant). An observation deck like this is just what the city needed. Only $25 for Adult General Admission and you are able to explore 3 floors, including a 360 degree outside deck. We also grabbed a cocktail at the Stratus bar. Lots of staff around to help, share information and history, or point you in the right direction. A must for anyone visiting Boston. read more

There were 8 of us in our party. We did a tour package. Totally worth the money. Ben was our guide and did an exceptional job giving us history and fun facts about every landmark in Boston. There are interactive displays as well as a complete replica of the city of Boston that changes views every 2 minutes. Awesome...a sports theme...winter view...fireworks...summer...all show the city of Boston in all of these themes. You also get a voucher for a drink or you can use it at the gift shop. There were many items that were within a few dollars of the voucher. This is a must do...you get just enough history without being boring...pay the extra for the guide...well worth the money. read more

Not worth 80$ entry. Went here thanksgiving eve. Empty which is great however the one floor to walk and see the view was not worth it. As someone who lives in Boston it was over priced and mediocre at best. The whole bar including menu was sticky which is unacceptable because there were only 4 people total sitting there. Drinks were okay. 100% not worth the money or time to come. We were completely ignored at the bar and not offered anything we had to ask. This is an accurate rating even if it were free entry at best I'd give a 2.5 star drinks were made with quality ingredients and not mixes. I hope the owner sees this it gives the old top of the hub a bad revamp. If events such as new years were held here it might be a great experience due to the ambiance and view. However as a place that charges to view without an event or exceptional service 100% not worth an entry fee. read more

Expensive tourist trap. Minimum $35 for an elevator ride? That's before you cough that up and have to pay top dollar for overpriced Sysco frozen food and weak sugary drinks. I miss top of the hub. View Boston clearly doesn't care about attracting locals to this thing which sucks because the view is great and it would be nice to take an elevator up and grab a beer or glass of wine and even pay a little bit of a premium for it but no view would rather nickel and dime tourists. Maybe at some point they will offer a resident discount as they're clearly not seeing the business they expected. read more

The view offers a 360° view of Boston from three floors and it is truly a spectacular attraction. The design is very state of the art. The site lines are unobstructed and breathtaking. We just happened to drop in while shopping and were really pleasantly surprised... We ended up having lunch there, and the food was also way better than we anticipated. read more

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE While visiting Boston for the first time for a few days, one of the employees at the front desk of our hotel told us that it would be worth our while to visit View Boston at the top of the Prudential Building. Since it was within walking distance of our hotel, we did it! And what a view! It provided a 360-degree view of the city of Boston from all angles, all from the 52nd floor. We were able to relax with a drink and enjoy Boston as the sun set and the twinkling lights of the city appeared. What made it particularly enjoyable was the conversations we had with one of the tour guides there, Ben Silverstein. He was so helpful, not only with explaining all the benefits that were available while viewing the city, but with suggestions and ideas about what to do in Boston while we were there. He was such a help and because of his recommendation, we were able to have an amazing dinner at Carmelina's at the North End. Thank you, Ben, and thank you, Boston. The View Boston offers 360 degrees of Boston. I spent a nice evening waiting for the sunset at The View. There is a bar at stratus that offers good options and there is also a restaurant. I had a couple of vouchers for food/drinks to use, and in one instance I did not use the full amount of my voucher, but after I tried using it again, I was told that, even though I didn't use the full amount, the voucher can no longer be use. I wish the cashier would've told me that beforehand regardless, still a nice time atop the city. read more

This is one of the coolest things to do in Boston. Take an elevator ride to the top of the Prudential building and get a 360 degree view of the city. There is a restaurant and bar at the top, there is also an observation area with info about the city etc. It's really cool! For $35 you can get a ticket and a drink at the top. TOTALLY WORTH IT! I would tell anyone taking a visit to Boston to make sure you do it. read more

View Boston is a great experience to see way above the city. We had a great experience minus a small issue that received a 4 star rating. We got drinks from the bar and headed out to the outdoor observation deck. Walked around and then stopped by security because the observation deck was closed but all of the doors to access that spot were unlocked. Seems like a mishap on the staff or security to have those doors locked or a note posted that the outdoor observation deck was closed. read more

I'm a Bostonian and I've been to the top of the Prudential many times before it became View Boston. When I learned that it was renovated and new, I wanted to see it. The view is spectacular! That said the web page encourages buying tickets ahead but there are several different prices with very little explanation as to what you get for the higher priced ticket. Tickets ranged from $29.99- $59.99 We opted for the $49 tickets, thinking that we were getting something extra. We did get a $12 voucher in the gift shop and restaurant but when he got a cocktail , it was $18 (plus tip). Aside from the high price, I gave it a low rating for two reasons. First, there was no one to ask questions . There was one lady greeting people off the elevator but she told me she couldn't leave her post to answer my question. There was one fellow who was in the middle of a private guided tour (that's what you get for the $59 ticket) but he was unavailable to answer my question. Secondly, besides the view, there was not anything to engage you. There is a colossal waste of space on the walls opposite the windows where all kinds of displays could have been- old photos, historical information about what you were looking at-almost anything would have been better than blank walls. There was a 3D miniature model of Boston and a short film on the two lower floors that were both worthwhile. However, the film could have been a lot better and there could have been seats to sit in the watch the film. Also on the two lower floors were a gift shop and a bar/restaurant. You cannot go to the bar without an admission ticket. As a Bostonian who loves to see all the sights, I was mightily disappointed. If you decide to go, either buy the cheapest ticket or opt for the private guided tour. The two middle priced ones were not worth the extra price. read more

I don't know about the tourist attraction part but under no circumstance would I book an event here. I only had a couple of months to book an event for 11/30/2024. I needed to book a venue for a meal for 30-50 people. I also needed room for dj and dance floor. The guest of honor was flying in on midnight the wed before thanksgiving and flying out Sunday morning. I contacted them sep 20. They informed September 23 they had 11/30/2024 available. We had multiple emails back and forth picked out a menu. They even set me up on thier portal. 2 weeks later when I asked for the contract they then informed me that the date was unavailable because Black Friday weekend was so busy that they wouldn't be able to man the restaurant and do a function. The restaurant would be too busy. They asked if they could move us to wed night or Sunday but due to the flights of the guest of honor they would not be there. I asked since everyone goes shopping on Black Friday would that be a better date. They said no to that also. I then asked since they couldn't do the food could we bring in a caterer. They said no. They offered to find us a venue which was Earls restaurant that didn't have a private space unless we went outside which would be too cold. And that we would not be able to have a dance floor. We had already ordered the cake and informed people. The guest of honor was already excited to have it there and now we had to inform people that were looking forward to it that it wouldn't be happening. I informed the employee Katie that I should not have been told it was available nor should I have had to waste two weeks of going back and forth to only be told no. Then the manager called to tell me they couldn't do anything and that they talked to thier employee so this wouldn't happen again. Not that it does me any good. The other place we had that we passed up was now booked and this was so unfair. Do not trust this venue with a meaningful reception as they are untrustworthy and thier word does not mean anything. I would hate for someone else's special day to be ruined. read more

Dear Boston visitors. As alocal, and someone who remembers the old Top of the Pru with a spinning bar and 360 view, I've got bad news for you. it's not worth it. It's cold, sterile, unimaginative and you get nothing for your ticket. even the sakes people said, "just buy the standard package " because all it does is get you upstairs. The bars are both grim, especially the small one. And the food is sub par although we had a great bartender. and there is a bizarre amount of security. for what? This is sadly a bust and will be out of business in less than a year. read more

Went today and couldn't see a thing due to the rain! I guess I should have had some common sense but I was assured the only part I wouldn't be able to enjoy would be the outdoor deck. The windows were covered in fog we couldn't see a thing. Entire experience took all of 20 minutes and 10 of it was waiting for elevator and buying tickets.
