That experience was so disappointing and unsettling that my father actually considered buying his own professional camera and taking a photography course... lol! We approached Jason with some trepidation, but he assuaged our fears with his kind and professional mannerism, glowing weddingwire reviews and willingness to accept the bulk of payment for his services after the wedding. We met for the first time a few days before the wedding to discuss expectations and ideas; Jason also provided a timeline for the day. On the day of the wedding, he did a lovely job taking pictures without being intrusive and handled everything with a great sense of humor. We found him on Yelp and Weddingwire and asked if we could…read morewatch him DJ locally to see how he performs and he provided us details on the time and location. He has a very simple and efficient set up with lights and sound systems. What was really impressive for us were the music videos that he played that went with the music. Once we saw that and saw/heard his transitions we knew he was the DJ we wanted. We had an unusual theme for our wedding, we did a costume theme "Talk Nerdy to Me" and Paul was not only happy to work with us, but he also had some awesome ideas on how to truly make it our own. With the video screen package, he was able to do movie/you tube clips and a slide show. When it came to getting strange and unusual music, Paul was able to do it with no issues. We asked for quite a few songs that were not in his database including traditional Chinese and Estonian Country music and he was able to get it with no issues. His online planning system made it really easy for us to put our Ceremony and Reception plan together. All of my guests LOVED the music choices. Part of it was our doing in putting together a song list, and part of it was Paul reading the party and playing accordingly. He even accommodated my niece's request for the Hokie Pokie. Don't take my word for it, Weddings are not the gigs he does in the DC area. Watch him in action and see for yourself. I feel that if other businesses book him on a regular basis, he is probably a good choice for your wedding. I am really glad I acted on this assumption, and had a chance to work with Paul. He has my highest recommendations.

First of all, we only hired Paul…read moreabout a month beforehand because up until then, we thought my husband's friend would be able to DJ for us. At the last minute, he wasn't going to be able to get his equipment out to us in time so I found Paul and reached out to him. Paul told me he was available and met with us in person. He was reasonably priced and we couldn't have lucked out better for a last minute booking. Even though our friend couldn't DJ, Paul let him do all of the introductions which was really sweet. He even let our friend take the reigns and do a couple songs! Paul never felt like our friend was stepping on his toes and we really appreciated that he let us do that. Paul kept the party going from the beginning. I've had so many people since the end of our wedding telling me how great our DJ was. We had a weird mix of twenty somethings and sixty somethings with not much in between. Even still, Paul was able to judge the crowd and keep people dancing. I don't think there was a second all night long that people weren't all over the dance floor! His online portal is very straight forward and easy to use. I was able to put in many details and everything we wanted to hear was played at our wedding. Paul is also not one of those DJs that keeps interrupting songs to talk. He knew when it was appropriate to interject and when it wasn't. My husband commented that this was one of his favorite things about Paul: his professionalism on and off the dance floor. Definitely consider Paul Surreal Entertainment for your next event - you won't regret it!

I don't understand why the actual product is so much different from the review, and make me doubt whether those person give 5 start review are real customer or just their staff or family members. *http://www.projectwedding.com Www.weddingwire.com http://www.weddingbee.com From their feedback to the negative customer review ,I had just learned Video Express had done this kind of business for 18 years (wow!!!), and I have to say their product is merely amateur and far away from professional. They gave us a shaky blurry home videos. it has low resoluvtion and remind me of the AFV (American's funnest home Viedo) show. Yes, they may have that HD (blue ray) version, but you need to pay another $30 dollars for that, You want to ship home? another $20.(though it is negotiated for $5 in the end). The package arrived after the agreed deadline when we had already left for our home country to attend another wedding party, we were planned to show the video there for the other relatives, and now the whole plan is totally ruined. The videographer is not professional. he came out from nowhere and started to ask interview questions right before the ceremony start (10 min before ceremony). He did not give me any hint, and i was not prepared at all. In the vow part, the unmaned camera is blocked entirely by a man head, it surprise me as a professional video maker, you would not edit and cut this part and still keep that in the final video for 2 seconds . With the manned- camera, I don't understand why he is always shooting from one angle of the stage, and for the entire ceremony I can only see the back of my head (because of this, I cannot even hire another people or to edit the movie by myself), also as a professional, why you don't know to give at lease ONE close-up for the ring? I would totally agree with the comment posted by "Kay Wedding: 04/26/2008" from www.weddingwire.com, quote " Once the contract was signed, the service went down hill. In the editing process, they simply did not follow many of the requests that were clearly communicated in writing and agreed to in advance" The only good thing about them is price, but if you have some extra bucks, find some one more professional.

Julie was great to work with to set up our consultation as well as to get the contract in place. Our videographer, Mark, was phenomenal! I honestly do not know how one person could be in so many places at once, recording every important moment in our wedding. He encouraged people to give testimonials, and caught every single person that attended our wedding. The audio was incredible, even with the number of edits done to focus on the main aspects of the wedding. Overall, we love our video and our highlight video, and are so happy we used Video Express to capture our special day.

In the summer of 2019 we found Matt through a friend's recommendation and from his portfolio alone…read morewe hired him for our wedding and engagement shoot- before we had even gotten engaged! Matt truly goes above and beyond at every step of the way. When we sat down for our consult his first question wasn't the date of the event or our price range, it was who we were and what was important to us. He cared who we were as people and wanted to use all of that information to give us the best pictures possible. On top of being willing to start our engagement shoot in Alexandria on a freezing October morning, Matt was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and had an eye for selecting the best spots for the best shots! When our engagement pictures came back they weren't just beautiful, they were fast. We received a 92 edited picture gallery where we owned all of the pictures in one week. Unfortunately, we were a COVID wedding which came with a large set of challenges, particularly that we wanted to capture our wedding day, but also our big party to celebrate in 2021. Matt was understanding and on top of it. We were able to do an elopement package this year and the big thing next year for a great price. The weeks leading up to the wedding Matt was regularly checking in which we loved. He showed up early and hit the ground running. He captured our day in a way that I didn't think was possible. He found beautiful shots that made us feel like we were in a fancy venue instead of a parent's backyard. Every single shot was stunning. Matt never made us feel rushed and joyfully stayed as late as we did. While being the picture of professionalism, Matt was friendly and playing, helping us feel relaxed instead of stiff. 2 and a half weeks later we got back our gallery, this time over 300 stunningly edited pictures. As we looked through them on the easy to use web gallery we were blown away with every click. On top of this we were emailed a zip file with all of our pictures- no watermark! We were beyond pleased with Matt and Prismatic Photography and would recommend him to anyone who asked. If you are looking for amazing pictures, a professional and friendly photographer, and amazing prices you can stop- you just found him.
