They have pretty much every bestseller; they do sell some new books too which tend to cost about as much as they would at any commercial bookstore but obvs buying a used copy can save you a bit. They do buy books and media materials but know you won't get much (around 50% of the book's selling price assuming it's in excellent condition seems to be the pattern I've noticed). The staff are always really helpful and knowledgeable. They have plenty of parking too. Will mention I have noticed the location on N Lamar tends to have more books in general (it's bigger!) but as a South Austin native I'm glad to have a location down here.

The employees here were all pretty cool and totally helpful as well. The tight parking situation (welcome to downtown Austin) was my only drawback to my visit...other than that it was an awesome experience and I am SO enjoying my Led Zeppelin album that I purchased! I'm more into vintage 80's cartoons and looking for those old records that were story time ones. They have mountains of records, art and more. There are some really well priced records and some vendors that are way too high. Near the end of my visit I found some Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake records which was my highlight of the con. If you like records this show is perfect for you. There's bound to be something there to get. Parking is in the structure nearby and is $10. It's a good way to spend a few hours.

Highly curated, with so many off-beat selections. Prices are reasonable for what they offer. I have found several "Holy Grails" here. I love the fun decor and high ceilings. One thing that makes it a little hard to browse is the three-tier bins. If you're under 6' then it's actually a lot harder to see what's in the upper bins without having to take things out. Not a lot of flippability for us height challenged folk. (Just a note as an avid crate digger) I make this my FIRST stop. The employees are nice, and you get decent quality vinyl for a decent price. They have a lot of other imported Japanese stationary brands as well and it's an impressive selection with fair prices. They carried kokuyo, campus, kleid stationary and many others. Also I discovered some new brands like leuchtturm1917 from Germany. They also showcased a local artist named Chris Gomez of Kaiju Cuts. They also were selling some books and many Austin souvenir. I really like the Austin public library hat and at $20 it's a steal. The tote bags are also very cute and would make a great gift.

Each room has its own type of books, along with original artwork, so it feels fun just wandering from room to room. There are plenty of places to sit inside, plus outdoor seating on both floors. If you head upstairs, you'll find a great view of downtown while you sip a glass of wine and flip through your newest book. The staff really know their books and their wine, and I love that you can walk around the store with your glass in hand while you browse. My only suggestion would be to add a small collection of vintage magazines. I'd probably never leave.
