A hidden gem of Douglas county Quite possibly the best retro video game store I've ever had the pleasure of walking into. An absolutely varied and wide collection of retro and new video games across a whole range of different consoles. I've bought multiple games at this store over the years and never once has a disc or cartridge been scratched or unusable. The games always run smooth which is not something I can always say about these retro game stores, but I can for this one. Rarer video games that I can never find anywhere else are affordably priced, the kinds of games that would be triple the price anywhere else are available, especially with a case and booklet! The service is ALWAYS friendly, the staff are approachable and polite and willing to chitchat, which I personally appreciate. Really sweet people are always working here. The frozen yogurt is pretty good too, I like the available flavors(yellow cake batter! So yummy!) I think most customers are here for frozen yogurt but I always come in for the retro games. Theres always something that surprises me. Who knew my favorite game store would be this frozen yogurt joint in Roseburg Oregon? read more

VG Plus is full of a friendly staff, most of which are very knowledgeable about the games they're selling. Their prices are consistently fair, often putting the local Gamestop to shame. It's the first place I go for games, and often movies. And oh boy, do they have movies. You can find movies in the price range of $2.00 to $7.00 a lot of the time, and be very satisfied. Granted, newer movies are going to cost more, but that's just the way it goes. They quality check every system they buy, so if you buy one from them, you don't have to worry. They also don't take scratched discs, so you don't have to worry about getting a bad game from them. If you do, they give you a full refund. If I want to sell a stack of games, I often end up leaving with more money than I thought I would. If you do business with them regularly, you will get an extra dollar for every item that has one of their stickers on it, meaning you bought it there originally. The same applies if you simply have the receipt. After the remodel, they put in a decent arcade with some memory-sparking games. I don't spend a lot of time in there, but it's worth checking out if you have the time. It's a good place to wait out the half hour before a midnight release, and they have a fair amount of midnight releases. Overall, VG Plus is an excellent source for video games and movies. They have a great selection (except right after Christmas; last year the shelves were WIPED OUT), and have no intentions of screwing anyone over. I'd recommend stopping by here if you are passing through and want to peruse a good game and movie selection, or becoming a regular customer if you live in the area. I will continue to do business here as long as I am in Roseburg. read more

Great, reasonable prices. Amazingly deep selection for current and retro games. Cashier knew his stuff and informed me about two games that had special circumstances: one used game didn't have a game code for a second game and the other one needed a special controller. I was impressed that he told me so I didn't need to be disappointed once I got home. This is a place that cares about customers. They've made me a returning one. read more

Prices have gone way up and selection way down since 2012 when we lived here, used to go there all the time! And their frozen yogurt place seemed fun for kids and was good but pricey too. Just go to a pawn shop! $7 for a used dvd is outrageous and most blurays are $15 and no cheaper than $10 if any good. Not many in the $4 section either. Their popularity has gone to their heads it seems. In Medford I was paying $5 a bluray like video games plus did in 2012. And dvd's were $1 or $2 each at pawn stores in Medford. You might as well just go to Walmart and buy new! Highly disappointed. read more

Friendly staff yes I agree however does not do right by the customer I felt very strongly I was Givin a scratched game all the other games played awesome NO PROLEM I just purchased an Xbox 360 brand new and they told me it scratched the game and they would not take it back even for trade well that's crazy becuz it didn't scratch the other games they took back that were played in it I was saddened by the treatment I received and I have been trading with them for a long time I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!!! They were very rude! They didn't have the game I was looking for and when asked if they could order it, they said no. Ended up going across town to a place my neighbor recommended, they didn't have the he either but the guy ordered it for me and charged me what he paid for it! Never going to VGP again! read more
