Earrings, necklaces, Brighton jewelry and watches, cozy socks, belts, cute purses, tablet cases...I even bought something to hang up in my house here once! I could spend my entire salary at this store. I always try Willow Tree first when I need to buy gifts for the women in my life--and I never have to go anywhere else. Here is the receipt. I was told by Diane (that sold her the items) that she did not recall the purchase and obviously did not mention a gift receipt. Crappy store policy not to honor their return policy. The owner did come out and state, only an exchange. Horrible policy! The sales gal was trying to help me and make conversation, and was nice. I was also told, wow, we usually do not do exchanges. If you are a small business owner, honor your policies.

Going into Dear Golden is like walking into a wearable museum. This is the nicest, classist, most tastefully curated vintage store I've been in. They also started doing more jewelry and home goods too which don't stay around long so I always see something new they have put out. I also like that the owner and Jasmine (love her) are never pushy or walking around trying to up sell me things they know don't fit quite right or don't match my hair. To the contrary, when I need any help they will whisk into the changing room to tie up that corset one more half inch if I give them a little wink. Finally, I love that they are extremely knowledgeable about the historical significance of the clothes and jewelry. They know all the top--and lesser known albeit important--designers of the various periods and they have encyclopedic breadth of why the clothes were designed and worn. With all the nice articles in there, makes me wonder what's in her storage...guess I'll just have to wait and come back soon.

My partner and I travel to different shops such as this across the US and collect unique items... there are snobby people but dear golden... they aren't them. When walk into this beautifully decorated and well-stocked store it doesn't look or feel like a typical resale shop. She has an eye for couture, current trends, vintage, and formal wear in sizes from extra small to XXL. No matter what your size, you'll find fashionable clothing. She also carries accessories (scarves, jewelry, purses, etc...) One of her mottos is "being broke ain't cute" and her clothing is priced right. If you catch a sale, don't sleep on it. I've gotten many designer dresses around $30-$35. Of course there are items below and above this price!
