Have to be honest and say this studio is just ok. I'm trying a two month groupon while searching…read morefor a studio I love enough to commit to. The good stuff - the teachers and staff. Everyone has been welcoming and friendly. The teachers give off great vibes and there is some variety in teaching style. One of the features here I appreciate I haven't seen in other studios is the use of consent cards/button things. You grab one and flip it to either - ok with hands on adjustments or no thanks. This is essential and a much less awkward way of asking for hands off. The not so great - There is very little use of music in the classes! Many teachers use it but it's very background instrumentalish and many don't use it at all! I personally like a great soundtrack to my yoga to keep me going. The general style of the classes is not power enough for me. There is actually very little variety in classes ... moksha or moksha flow is 90% of the classes and neither feels like enough of a workout for me. Can say it's more classic yoga but more variety with more power would be great. There also isn't that flow I'm looking for in classes - My favorite teachers provide seamless flows from one position to the other. More not so great - the space itself. This studio is sitting at a high price point and just doesn't compare to other studios in the same bracket. The main area is small and the change rooms are tiny. There are no lockers at all which to me is a deal breaker. The yoga room itself seems to have permanently sticky floor issues. They are definitely cleaning between classes I think it's just the quality of the wood. So this won't be the studio for me although depending on your tastes you may love it. I enjoyed Bob Pearson's class the most.

I was first introduced to Moksha Yoga back in college when someone suggested that it would be a…read moregreat way to unwind. And by unwind they meant become forever addicted to it! When my studio at Applewood shut down, I took a few years off to try different hobbies. Last July I purchased a $50 Groupon voucher for a 60 day trial at Moksha Yoga Square One. This was perfect as the location is fairly close to my house. The studio itself is beautiful, bright and for the most part has a great concept and layout. When there are busy classes, the entry way and where you go to put your coat is extremely crowded and does not have a great "flow" - no pun intended ;). This isn't a make or break deal though, just practice patience and you'll be fine- ha! The change room door for the women's change room though is the most unpractical thing I have ever seen in my life. It should honestly be removed and the hinges should be on the left side OR they need to make it a pull door because I cannot tell you how many times I've got whacked in the head. Sometimes they keep the door open and it's almost impossible to navigate around the change room as the door blocks the entry way to the benches. Aside from the small entry way with the shoes and this change room situation, the overall studio is fantastic. It's EXTREMELY clean, smells clean and you even see them clean (plus!). I actually don't mind showering there after my morning classes and go to work because I am comfortable enough in the facility. The staff are friendly , helpfully and socialize with you! I agree that sometimes with larger classes that sometimes the instructors won't know everyone by first name BUT there are many instructors who have asked for my name or recognize me and engage in conversation- so, I don't necessarily think that larger classes = no personal touch. Most instructors do make an effort. They have a great schedule in place with a variety of classes in place. Morning, afternoon, evenings and weekends which is great for those who have the Unlimited all you can sweat pass. My favourite classes thus far have been the Wednesday / Friday morning classes with Indy, the Live Music Monday evening classes (AN ABSOLUTE MUST !!) and the Sweat, Stretch and Unwind classes on Wednesday evenings. The studio also has constant workshops, events and much more happening to add a sense of community to their location- which I love! They are super engaged and have some pretty unique events! Sometimes the busy classes get extremely packed and you find yourself getting a little comfortable with your neighbour ;) , so if personal space is an "issue" for you, perhaps try being at the back of the class towards the windows OR come during "slower" classes.

It is just off Hwy 10 in Mississauga and close to the 401 and not far from the 403. The studio is clean and has a little sitting area in the front beside the reception desk. There is a shoe rack at the entrance to leave your shoes. They have many products (bolsters, straps, mats, oils, etc) for sale as well as a mini fridge with water, juice, coconut water and snacks for sale. I spent 20 hours here over a weekend for training and it was nice that Highland farms is across the street in case I needed to grab a meal on my break. There are small lockers in the washroom areas for men and women and there is a shower and 3 toilet stalls in the ladies area. Bring your own lock if you want to use a locker. Pritpal Singh, the owner and the lady doing our training, is friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable. I like that all the equipment (bolsters, blankets, eye pillows, straps) are in good condition and that they require you to use a tissue between you and the props for hygienic purposes.

Some of the instructors (ex. Francesca) will also include lovely music during the class and I enjoy that as well. If one uses Groupon to sign-up, there maybe some confusion with it as I've come to find out. It got resolved, but I had to expain and they had to call Groupon, and it took a number of days to get it all sorted out. Needless to say, that part of the experience with this studio was unpleasant. It made me feel uneasy and I wondered how I would be treated. But, once sorted, for the most part, eveyone is nice. So, should you use groupon, expect that things may not go smooth. I would have given them 5 stars it wasn't for the above mentioned uncomfortable experience and the scheduling issue. Scheduling both online and downloadable schedule are unreliable: 1 - Last week, I was a little late for a class after work (10 min) and Esero allowed me to attend but asked me not be late in the future or I may not be able to attend a class. The next day in order not to be late, I came in for a later class. Last class shown on schedule is at 8PM. I singed in, said hello to instructors at the entrance, went to to studio, rolled out my mat and layed down waiting for the class to start. Nobody came in and then the lights were turned off with me in the room. Come to find out, even if there is class scheduled and less than 3 students show up, the class gets cancelled. After the class was cancelled with me in it, I asked about their scheduling practice. It sounded like 5:20 PM and 6:30 PM classes during the week tend to have enough students. So, I guess, I will try to attend either of these in the future. 2 - This morning (Sunday), the schedule shows a 9 AM class. However, when I got there, the door was closed and after waiting until 9 AM, I left. I've invited some of my firends to join me in this studio. But, before I bring them and to avoid the same type of challenging experience I've had, I'll make sure to know when the classes will take place. I've asked if they update their schedule online and was told their downloadable schedule is the accurate one. As you can tell from the 1 & 2, it too is unreliable. The classes that I've been to are great and I feel great afterwords. If they would only fix the schedule and make it more reliable so that students like myself can plan our own schedules better. I'll see how the schedule is handeled over the next 2 week and if it can be reliable, I will continue to come. Otherwise, I may have to look for another hot yoga studio. Advise to those wanting to try, call before coming to ensure the classes will take place. Classes are great and truly worth coming. P.S. Last time I enjoyed yoga was in Tula Yoga studio downtown. I have the worst shoulder pain and I have weak wrists so you can imagine all the shortcomings that come along with it. I've been reading about Hot Yoga for a while and I am confused yet impressed by the popularity of all the new age types of Yoga that pop up every once in a while. I'm all for fitness but Yoga has been turned into this raw-food-apple-cider-eating only type of fad. Considering I had never attempted at ANY type of Yoga before, I decided - why not? I like heat I need to check out what this meditation thang is all aboot So I walked into this tiny place run by a Filipino family. They were so pleasant and gave me little tips and information about my first time and what to expect. There were 3 staff members when I was there and all 3 of them rotate as instructors. They provide both hot and regular Yoga with a well facilitated washroom/changeroom, poles all along the halls so you can lay your mat and spray it when you are done. The front of the place is simple, nothing too modern or chic. The place is right at the corner of Tomken off of Eglington. The driveway into the plaza is a bit risky so make sure to drive slowly. The entrance is towards the back where parking is available and the door is well lit. From the entrance you will see the service desk to your left and a coat rack with a shoe rack to your right followed by the hall into the rooms. The decor isn't anything too "zen" like but I can appreciate the simplicity. The tiny rooms offers an L shaped couch, coffee table, some plants and a Chinese feng shui tray on the coffee table. The tray contained a mini size sand container, few grey shaded pebbles and a tiny rake. There are TONS of regulars and the rooms are clean, well lit and operational had no idea what to expect from the atmosphere to the poses etc but the instructor was so wonderful. He made little anecdotes and jokes throughout and got everyone involved somehow. He remembered some names of regulars when asking them what they wanted to work on that class. Which I thought was cool. There were some guys in there but majority of the class is dominated by the fems. The heat never bothered me and I understood how different this type of fitness was. I had never sweat soo much with so little movement. Yet, the next day my body felt like I had run 20 laps, 20 squats and 30 Tri dips. The change room is impressive. They have showers, bathrooms, change rooms and a corner change room equipped with a tall standing mirror. The stalls are clean and large enough. There's lockers and hangers for jackets etc. The sinks have mirrors wide and tall enough for sharing. The counter was equipped with straighteners, blow dryers, hand towels, hair spray a.k.a all the fixins and tops of plugs to do your own thing. When I was putting my shoes on, the instructor approached me asking any feedback and how I'd heard about them. I mentioned Yelp and they knew about it! POINTS!. I decided to sign up for a month pass to try the rest of the classes out. So far, I've gone to 2 classes and I have enjoyed it. I would definitely suggest this location if you are nearby as they have the 60min classes early mornings, lunch and several in the evenings. Also, if you want to drop in you can do so for $18.00. If you don't want to bring your own towel its $2.50. On Wednesdays they have a special rate of $8.00 to come try them out so definitely take advantage. fun fact: the next day I received an updated schedule in my email and with personal message including tips, and suggestions on what to work on etc. This really impressed me. I cant wait to go back and become one of those Yogis that remember all the random pose names. xoxo M.

The receptionist was very friendly and answered all of my silly yoga questions as I was a newbie. They also let me use the mats for free. I throughout my trial I went to mostly Yin/Meditation classes as I didn't want to go hardcore right away. They were really relaxing and all the instructors were very positive and helpful. One of our classes even ended with chanting, which was something I missed from my meditation groups way back. I did end up doing one Vinyasa, it was extremely hard. Though I'm not incredibly in shape. Haha. But the teacher was very helpful with modifications. All in all, the other practitioners were friendly, the teachers were friendly and the receptionists were friendly. All about positivity and health. My friend and I decided to check it out primarily for Sabina. We had attended a few of her classes when she taught at other studios. The studio space is really great. Large and open rooms, a mens and ladies change room fully equipped with showers as well. There's tea and water for clients awaiting their class. You don't feel crowded in the space, and you can tell they've taken care to make it a relaxing environment. The hot yoga room was a comfortable heat and not unbearable like it can be at other places. What I love about Sabina as an instructor is that she doesn't rush you! Other studios that I have been to, are more focused on doing a routine within an hour, Sabina is more focused on your poses and you doing them correctly. She corrects as she goes along and will rather spend time on a particular pose to ensure that you are able to do it rather then move on to the next. At the end of our class, my friend summed up our experience as such "I feel like I got a massage". And she's right! You leave a class sitting up straighter and feeling relaxed and refreshed!

It's a rather small studio with a different... er... style that other studios I've seen, since I'm used to seeing hardwood floors and big open spaces. As mentioned by another reviewer, there's only a single storage-type room to change in, one at a time. I think there's also only a tiny bathroom that's outside the reception area, by the shoes and coats. Aside from the studio, the class was great! The teacher def seemed experienced, especially at teaching beginners (there were a bunch of new students behind me in the class). The class size was quite small (I think only around 10 people), which was good since the long, narrow room looks like it would feel cramped otherwise. I attended the hot hatha class, which focused more on breathing on meditation than, say, power yoga. There also seems to be a nice sense of community there. The staff was nice and the students were too - I was initially hesitant to join in their conversations, but they were really friendly people. Overall, a good experience for the stuff within their control :) Unfortunately, the people upstairs (or in the reception area, couldn't really tell) kept talking and making lots of noise, which kinda disrupted the peace of the class, so while I know it's not the studio's fault, I like to consider an overall feeling of peace and well-being during my yoga practice, so I'm unsure if I will be returning anytime soon.

Please note, I am writing this review as a non-yogi,looking to increase fitness,no spirituality…read morecheck necessary,Adidas over lulu lemon anyday -perspective kinda gal. With that said -after my car accident I was really unable to get to the fitness level that I once had. Combine that with the budding flower (more like wilting) of age& it can be a bit of a damper to girly self esteem. Since I had lost most of my summer recovering inside, winter lead lead me into the doorway of heaven?(debatable). After a quick google search for inside activity this studio grabbed me by the love handles at 'Hot Power Pilates'.I shuffled (because that's what happens when you no longer can walk briskly) into the studio for a trial and loved it! Prices are a bit steep so make sure you do a trial first. The studio is run by a husband&wife duo( Tina & Roy). The kind of duo that you need to know exists so you can admire the possibility of ageing well. They are very involved in the business (they teach multiple classes daily) so if you visit at least twice you will be sure to meet them. The rest of the staff are friendly and usually know most clients by name. You really get the feeling that these guys love what they do. This studio was the first of it's kind to combine Power Pilates in a Hot Yoga room. I have been to others with larger rooms offering a Pilates class but nothing close to the level of intensity, focus on cardio and breathing that this studio has.The instructors don't play around boiii. If you aren't in the correct posture they will come right over and won't leave till you get the positioning right. Luckily you can start easy by just asking which instructors are intense or easy.People will happily let you know. If you are new to Pilates and intense cardio in general but really would like to try- catch a class with Marcela. Super friendly, patient and heavily focused on protecting shoulders, neck&back. If you are so so try either Sandra or Marcie. If you think you can handle it - Go for the big guns.Tina. She will push you into a really scary territory conquered by fear and sometimes even tears. Another cool fun fact I enjoy about this place is the music. Along with unique styles, each instructor has their own playlist so you can usually get different vibes. It can help to pick & choose what style you fit into. If you are only interested in the Hot Yoga classes then you have plenty to choose from and since they support new student training, you sort of help play a role in hiring new students. Tip: if your into Florence and the machine be sure to catch Erin's class. I absolutely love her playlist. I don't even partake in the Yoga classes but I come early just to hear her playlist ......from the outside.....like the youngin days I was forced to stand in line while the good music plays through the walls. Ahh, nostalgia. Over the months I have noticed majority of people are regulars that have been clients for years and unlike most Yoga studios the number of 'newbs' is much lower. So you either love it or it's too much. Unfortunately, with all the good qualities that the talent carries perhaps the largest issue would be the size & amenities. First, it took me forever to find the place - the location is rather strange. In a circular complex that has many sub sections but once you find it, you are golden and once again lets all take a minute and cheer for the FREE parking lot availability in Mississauga. Once inside, the space is divided into downstairs and upstairs separated by a set of stairs that will greet you first thing. Downstairs is the yoga studio and upstairs is something I haven't bothered discovering. The clothing racks where you hang jackets and a tiny shelf for shoes is located right infront of the reception door (which reminds me of a mosque stumbling around awkwardly trying not to step over the carpet of shoes). There is a small room inside used for changing. Bathroom is located outside the reception which comes in air-plane size- normally this would be nonnegotiable because I sincerely believe it defeats the entire purpose of hygiene. If you gather groups of sweaty people you really gotta offer them sufficient amenities. Unfortunately the space can only afford 1 tiny bathroom. Because of this ,be sure to come at least 15minutes early. All this should spell disaster right? Nope. That's how good this place is. They don't even need to give you big enough washroom and I still religiously make it here 3-4 times a week. With only 2 rooms(Hot& Regular), it all somehow works. Mad skills. see ya on the flip side. xoxo M.
