It's the same story with the music, with some very unexpectedly big name acts playing intimate gigs. It is also a great venue to see the very best of the up and coming local bands.

The Huntingdon Hall is very modern inside, except the performing space, as it is a converted church. And for this reason I have to give it less than top marks. Many of the seats are the same old church pews (with a small amount of added cushion). The leg room is very poor, and makes a 2-3 hour performance awkward to watch. The 'cafe' which is located on the 1st floor is very pleasant, with quick and friendly service. The food is good for the price, although the drinks are very expensive for the location/audience. I may sound negative, but I'd quite happily go again and again. The amount of (varied) artists that perform there is impressive

For us - as foreign tourists, I think think this museum really gives you a feel for the great scope of history in these isles. Cirencester is not a terribly large town, yet it has history recorded continuing back 2,000+ years well reflected here. Only knocked off a star for some broken interactive exhibits - really wish I could give 4.5 stars. For what it sets out to do this is a successful effort.
